This is the point when Dallas was becoming more of a comedy and less of a drama. Girl is old enough to be his daughter.

The Hayleyville storyline was among the dumbest of the series. What they did to JR in this storyline was absurd. It was the beginning of the end of the series.

"too young, and unsophisticated". What kind of men are these? A great many men like strictly young women. Period. Considerations such as sophistication don't even factor in..If anything many men prefer them dumb as fuck, ergo a naive object to be used purely for their physical attributes. I've encountered many such men, and extreme wealth has been present in most of these filthy , and jetset geezers. The noveau riche, alcoholics are the worst. They're shit doesn't even work, without a heavy dose of Viagra. Doesn't deter them in the least. Luckily I'll never know wealth like that , so I'll be unburdened by that affliction. I've got a different kind of problem(s)

If she had half a brain, she would have found it strange that JR said he gets whatever he wants but then she believed JR when he said that Sue Ellen left him and that she cheated on him.

Later on that season, Cally blurts all that out and says You're not what I exprcted, JR told me you were a hopeless drunk thst neglected your child. Sue Ellen said I bet you then went to bed with him. Sue Ellen approaches JR, and says which high school ere you combing this time? (She's one to talk after Nick Pearce and Peter Richards). Did you tell thst girl I'm a drunk, a tramp and an unfit mother? Then she punches him. Well Sue Ellen was a drunk, a tramp and an unfit mother.

@@SteveHolstenYou old lecherous dog, getting so hot around the collar. Have the courage, of your conviction. You like em young, and have a wife younger than your daughter for fucks sakes. But your a really old geezer, so it's not really that untoward . She's over 40 , as of the present day. So you can't really be called a chomo, it just looks somewhat pathetic to a great many people. I'm guessing that your daughter wasn't exactly elated to have a step mother, especially one of her own age. Technically younger, but only by one little year.

Yes, when Victoria left is when it started to spiral down into a joke of a show. JR looking weaker and softer was probably on purpose as a way to wind down the series to it's finale, but besides that the writing and storylines just got more ridiculous. @@bruce8808
