The time strategist is generally another calmer and resizable than the standard dalek. Infant in numerous occasions it is willing and some times attempts to work with lesser species if they are deemed to be helpful.

I love how candid, bored, and casual the Dalek Time Controller sounded at the beginning. Really sets him apart from the rest of the race. His voice only ramped up at the end when he commenced the attack, like as if there's enough base nature of Dalek excitement left in him for it. As for the animation itself, I'm not sure if the silent motions of their casing movements were your choice or by choice of the audio from BF, but either way, the unsettling silence with their movements makes them more creepy and I appreciate that. The noises are cool in combat situations, but the silence makes them creep on you more effectively. Also, you didn't just have them standing motionless all the time. It works in a real-life setting, but in animation it's good to not have them static. You make them expressive by their movements while still managing to hold onto their mechanical nature, and how far detached they are from truly sentient beings. I also just love that you included a waveform for the woman speaking on the communiques. Nice touch. In addition, it was an equally nice touch to use the Satellite 5 model for this. I'm assuming by this context, this takes place somewhere hovering around the time war and close to the 9th's Doctor's story in the 2005 revived series, regardless of which generation of the Doctor we have in this story. It's all intertwined, so it feels right because it's all reminiscent of each other. In addition, I cannot imagine how you placed the energy effect inside the Dalek Time Controller's neck section. Like a plasma ball but for Time Vortex energy. I haven't used 3D Software in ages, so this would've been too complex for me to describe. Was it a particle effect of some kind? Either way, this whole thing is an achievement, and an excellent watch. So, Bravo! Excellent work.

Thank you! And the casing being silent wasn’t really a choice. In order for the audio not to be too “busy” big finish probably only added the one head turn sound for the time controller telling them to fire to emphasise it. And it’s not Satellite 5 but it’s inspired by it. The rings are a different shape. The plasma ball was difficult yeah. It’s all physically modelled though. I have all of the glow in parts cantered in the middle, and then given a random movement, and a displacement map for the middle of each one so as they move, they wobble like in real plasma balls.

Thanks for giving the description of the plasma ball. That fact that you had to animate each tethered part of the glowing orb must have been difficult. Props to you for having the patience.

I always like how the DTC sounds like like an odd combination of Tom Baker and a Dalek Supreme xD

Yeah, there is no neutrality with the Daleks, only running, fighting, or being exterminated (or some combination thereof).

This went in an incredibly predictable way and quite frankly the station administrators deserved what they got for thinking they could bargain with the Daleks.

Well yes. After all, destroying the station a pair of Time Lords are trapped on is only "calm and reasonable" for a Dalek. Anything else would be leaving too much to chance.

​@Caithness19 the timelords weren't on the station they were in a life pod in between the station and the daleks.

I love the new Dalek designs. Especially the Dalek Time Controller.

Genuinely all I want from Doctor Who expanded media at this point is this but officially. Seeing full versions of Big Finish's Dalek content animated to this level of quality would be unreal.

I think the obstacle for me, and I’m going to assume every other dalek animator on KZread is the humans. The best big finish scenes I and others have animated have been 100% daleks, so animating full stories would be very hard.

@@JRHainsworth with the unreal engin 5 matric demos do show what i could call decent generated humans i guess the only hard part would be constructing these models with out high detail 3d scans would be a major under taking for a desinger ?

Im not sure if youd be willing but i have a suggestion for a project, not sure if your be interested as it would be adapting an existing video Timelash from what ive been able to gather is a story that was originally intended as a dalek story And looking at it, it seems pretty obvious this was the case, the androids were obviously daleks and the borad - davros, the timelash obviously part of the daleks time corridor, even the androids speech parterns are reminiscent of dalek voices It seems they got 2 dalek stories at the same time and they chose the stronger story feom what ive been able to gather And with a few lighting changes and inserted cg daleks in place of the androids It might be fun to see what it was originally intended to be

Not visibly in the covers. And I like the idea that the 3 dome lights indicates the supreme, so the strategist doesn’t have it.

It’s not confirmed. The back is never shown, but the first image of him is a photoshopped image of the Supreme, which would imply yes. But since we never see it, I prefer to think the 3 lights symbolises the supreme.
