Eric nailed it at the end. Grassroots marketing and digital media is king in 2024. Speaking from an objective place, these are the shows NASCAR should embrace. Out of the Groove, BR, house of Highlights, JOMBOY media channels, etc should be where NASCAR pushes for weekly content. Having more drivers on these appearances and more personalities on display/accessible on those platforms will be key to growth. Traditional media is great for the older demographics but increasingly quickly to sports bar and waiting room space eaters.

One thing to remember about Allen Bestwick, I would love to see him back in a booth but right now, he is the voice of IMS, which he would have to leave if he goes anywhere. (Coke 600 on Amazon overlaps Indy 500, Brickyard 400 more than likely to TNT, but maybe he can go to TNT only if Brickyard goes to NBC; FS1 trucks and CW Xfinity is possible if he has a fill in for IMS duty)

Pretty solid picks, Eric! Fox needs to get Rick Allen back as the play by play annoucer for the truck series! Nothing against Jamie Little, but she's at her best when she was a pit road reporter! But aside from that, the whole booth for the truck series needs an overhaul badly, maybe keep Phil Parsons in the booth, but other than that they need to make some major changes!

I completely agree about sponsorship. I get that they need to pay the bills but it has become so diluted from what sponsorship started as. Few drivers have that sponsorship identity and those that do generally aren't influencing anything. It's just a name. m&ms didn't need Kyle Busch to sell candy but it certainly helped attract young fans to the sport. Now KB doesn't have any specific sponsor that you can ID him with. I couldn't even tell you what are the major sponsors of the cup series let alone all the minor ones.

On the Speed Street podcast, James Hinchcliffe mentioned he didn’t have a contract for next year, so it’s shaking up the IndyCar booths too. I’m still curious about what will happen to Jamie Little. I feel like she could either go back to Indycar or stay with NASCAR and be equally successful.

Yes, on KZread and Most podcasts are genuine. If you don't like something you can say it however you want without worry that NASCAR or some big network coming down on you for saying something they Don't like. It's one of the many good and bad things about KZread and social media people can say whatever they want, however they want.

I want the CW to continue the “cup drivers” tradition for at least part of the season. “The Penske Boys” Logano, Cindric, and Blaney are great. Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, and occasionally Suarez did great jobs on the broadcasts. The “All Drivers” broadcasts were a fan favorite. Love to see the Mac’s with AA AT THE TRACK in the booth. Will be fun to follow this silly season!!!

Im not a Lajoie fan but I listen to his Stacking Pennies show sometimes, hes pretty funny. Im tired of the sterile interviews and broadcasting which is why I continuously point out how much I like Bowman because hes more himself than other drivers. And Harvick and Boyer are hilarious in the booth together so thats a "must keep"

As great as Junior is in the booth, I could see Amazon picking an even more bold commentator crew. They could pick up Eric Estepp as their play-by-play guy and bring some energy to the booth. Pair him with Danny B. as a strong color commentator who can really connect with the fans. Finally, lock it down with The Iceberg who seemingly has endless statistics and fun strategy facts at their fingertips. Seems like a very solid booth to me 😅

With Adam Alexander, in addition to him talking with the 3 new TV partners for NASCAR, Fox has also been negotiating with him on staying with them but moving over to their Indycar coverage (Fox just acquired Indycar from NBC a few weeks ago). This is because Leigh Diffey isn't moving to Fox due to his Olympic commitments for NBC. However If Adam Alexander joins one of the 3 new TV partners for NASCAR, Fox would likely bring back Bob Varsha for their Indycar coverage. Lastly (and this is related to F1) Sky Sports please get rid of Crofty & Brundle, they are terrible & ESPN should instead use their own commentators in Allen Bestwick, David Hobbs & Steve Matchett for F1.

I'm a Nascar and Indycar fan there has been some rumors about Adam Alexander going to the booth for Indycar on Fox in 2025 but that doesn't make sense to me I've thought for a few years that Adam Alexander is being primed to eventually take over for Mike Joy when he retires i think Indycar goes with Kevin Lee or Allen Bestwick for Indycar on Fox

I would pay, too. I think it's worth it if everything is in one place like F1 TV, they have their F2, F3 and F1 academy races and practices/qualifying on one channel and no commercials either. I also like their talk shows, too and like most streaming services you can go back and rewatch previous races and this service is affordable, too. You can pay monthly or by the year.
