Dale Brisby: Netflix Star & Producer of How to Be a Cowboy, Greatest Bull Rider Ever, Comedian
In this week’s incredible Team Never Quit episode, legendary bull rider and Netflix reality superstar Dale Brisby (How to Be a Cowboy) brings a brand of toughness, determination, fun, truth, and faith to the table. From Facebook to Snapchat to TikTok, this guy has attracted thousands with his hilarious cowboy-lifestyle videos. Brisby is the self-proclaimed greatest rodeo cowboy on the planet and shares an engaging conversation with Marcus Luttrell in the Team Never Quit Podcast Studios. You’ll see pretty quickly that Dale Brisby is not your typical rancher. And you’ll hear - firsthand - how a future bull-riding rodeo comes to life at Dale’s Radiator Ranch.
In this episode you will hear:
I’m the Navy SEAL of Bull Riders.
My bucket list is - I don’t want to kick the bucket anytime soon.
Marcus Luttrell can call me whatever he wants.
I was raised around rodeo & started pro rodeo in college.
If you’ll just not quit, that’s what you’re supposed to do.
The rule of wearing felt hats is: Use them in months that end in “R”. Texas is a bit more lenient.
The most peaceful thing that ever crossed my mind was if my old man was in heaven. It was as sure to me as gravity.
[As it relates to Marcus Luttrell’s experience in Afghanistan] A lot of Americans think about what we would do in that situation. There’d be an intense amount of prayer I’d have to be doing.
Salvation is like - alight you’ve graduated, but you still need to go to the classes.
My dad died, both of my granddads died, and I had this real moment of “Snap, I’m the patriarch now. My family’s gonna be looking to me…”
[Telling Marcus Luttrell] If anything devastating were to happen, and I’m sitting here older than you, but I’ve been an accountant, I’m letting you be the boss.
Always give 100% unless you’re donating blood.
There’s never a time when you can just lay down & wait for something to happen.
Offense is the best defense.
In business, don’t ask yourself “Is this right or wrong?” Instead ask yourself “Is this wise?”
When you have faith, live your life in response to that.

Dale told us about this podcast. Glad to find it. Luv it. Dale is really not near big headed as he plays. Took me a ways to understand he’s not always serious. It’s comedy. When I first saw him I thought “ where did this yahoo come from. I am a little slow. LMAO
Great show! Can’t wait for the best man contest!
Please do have Marcus’s Mom back on! Her July 2020 episode is still one of my favorites! I listen to this episode w her whenever I need a boost of encouragement as a stay at home Mom now. She is so full of wisdom!✨💕😊

Could you run a atv off that chainsaw. When it Froze. I watched the storm roll in right in front of me before the gate as Leaving to go save cows. Temp inverted horizontal rain from dry. Watched ice firm on the entire gate 3 quarter in. In lessthan 1 minute. As ut built up. I ended up with half my body Cols damage 40 percent. Tips fingers ties frostbite. To a point. Took a year after entire night. To rebuild leg strength and 2 months excruciating pain every 20 seconds. Daily. Cold I injury and nerve damage. Right leg muscle went skinny 50 percent. Now almost recovered. Except for heavy right leg and sone nerve damage. 5 main areas. Excruciating. I now understand what people with chronic pain go through..

Dale Brisby is the farthest thing from a cowboy there is. He’s entertainment at best. And is disdained by those of us who know what it means and is to be a cowboy.
@JoshHennings
2 жыл бұрын
I’m rarely one to reply to people’s comments on KZread, but I’ve ironically been following Dale’s career the past few years and I haven’t seen any evidence as to what you’re talking about. Seems like the real deal to me, other than the character he plays up. Yeah, a lot of it is entertainment, especially the Netflix show, but the cowboys he surrounds himself would have called him out a long time ago if he was a fraud. Just go back on his old videos and the stuff he does. The “farthest thing from a cowboy” is a weird description.

@bigt6997

Ya teaching young people how to get into the ranching/rodeo/agriculture industry and helping others is totally not a cowboy thing to do. Just because he plays an interesting character on youtube doesn't take away from what he does... and yes those are real bulls and bucking horses he teaches those kids on. And the cows they work look very real to me as well. So what that he sells merchandise thats just smart marketing which helps bring a spotlight to our western culture and heritage. He is a modern day ambassador to that lifestyle and uses social media to put it in the spotlight so why try to tear it down when you dont even know the man.
