@@GrandpaGoesGaming yes the more coverage the better! There is too much game for me to figure it all out. I also hope people post points of interest they find throughout the map. I have come across some interesting things but the map is so huge I can't remember where they are. All the stage names blend together to me sadly. I wish the loading screens had the name of the stage and the features of it. Kind of like the stage select screen does.

Nice game but after update, on XBOX serie X, I lost force feedback with my TS XW steering wheel (thrustmaster)

Yeah, just started playing this game again when I heard there was this big patch for it... I like the new patch. I'm actually glad that I'm not the only one who noticed some of the bugs and glitches in the in car views. Oh and also the replay mode, at keast to me, seem a bit buggy also, and sometimes causes my PS4 to crash. Not a deal breaker for me as it's not severe. Seems Sabre Interactive seems to listen to their customers, as they responded pretty quickly to my inquiries about this game and Snowrunner... One thing you failed to mention is they also upgraded the particle whatever, I guess meaning better dust and dirt visuals, seems the vehicles accumulate more dust, dirt, mud and snow on the bodywork than before. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that way to me. Now if only Snowrunner would add windshield wipers... 🤔

I play and review on PS5 and quite frankly I didn't see any change in particle density. I don't know if that's because we didn't get those extra particles or if it's because the change was just very subtle. My apologies for missing this ☺️

@@GrandpaGoesGaming it could be the PS5 didn't get the particle update seeing as how PS5 already has good graphics quality... I could be wrong as I don't have, nor ever did have a PS5. Oh well, is all good...

Thanks for the video. Are you sure those 11 new events aren't for the other new vehicle addon packs because on Series X there's only one Snowrunner location (snowrunner challenge) added. Also, XBox leaderboards as well as the browser for user-created content aren't working (an endless searching loop) so server issues are still present on XBox. [edit] ah, I see now. 10 of those 11 new locations are from a previous v1.xx update (making 20 total on the map) and not from this new v2.0 patch. They aren't showing as 'new' on my map, they're displaying as completed.

Us PlayStation users have had missing events for ages so the sudden appearance of so many new things is thanks to a fix for the extended map DLC (finally) Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the user generated content. I really hope that gets fixed soon as it's been such a long wait for that content.

@@GrandpaGoesGaming ah, gotcha. Looks like you're in for a treat then because some of those new events/locations are pretty decent. Yeah, for some reason there's always been an issue with xbox servers because the leaderboards have never worked properly, but hopefully the user-generated search problem is just because nothing is available yet and it starts working as content is added.

@@GrandpaGoesGaming yeah, absolutely. I still prefer D18 though (DDR feels a bit too arcadey for my liking) but I am looking forward to seeing what the editor brings to the table. It should be fun trying out various routes.

@@justme_7145 I feel like Dakar 18 had better AI. I just played a pro and simulation race and thought I did pretty well for having to concentrate on navigating. When I finished I was like 10 mins behind the leader. I don't think I could do it any faster...so it looks like I will never win the DAKAR. 😔

I'm on XBSX. I can't work out how to access photo mode - there doesn't seem to be a dedicated toggle for it on the default controller layout. What am I missing?

This one has caught some people out actually. When you're in replay mode pause the replay where you want to take the picture. Switch to free cam and as long as you've got your HUD on you'll see the buttons for things like focus distance and lenses. Use these to compose your shot, then toggle.off your HUD and take the screenshot.

I'm pretty sure that this is possible if you play in performance mode, but there is still plenty of frame dropping if you try to make it look pretty.

do we playstation users have to pay for the 11 new events, and the hybrid vehicle pack?

The new events which appeared in this video were mostly part of the Saudi Arabia map pack, which only appeared after the update because it was bugged for many of the Playstation users.

The only purpose of those cars seems to be to have a tie-in with Snowrunner. The first Snowrunner pack was far better 👍
