They really don't look like simply straight forward pieces of wood. At least to me they don't. There're so many parts to it that have to go together perfectly. I couldn't build one. But I can play. Skilled worker. Lol... T👀LS have eyes

oo it's a classic guitar without a truss rod? I used to think I wanted thin necks until I really started playing rhythm chords, and now I have a fat full contour telecaster neck

Are you putting a truss rod in, too? Or just the graphite? And if there's no truss rod, how would you set-up the guitar?

Flat sawn and rift sawn wood are also good for necks and a bit less wasteful. You just probably have to make a laminate neck and use carbon fibre reinforcement is you want to be extra conscious of the neck shifting

Socrates, a wise man, said that he didn’t know anything. That’s called ironic ignorance, because it was well known that Socrates knew more things than the other people in Athens. The point here is that you never cease to learn. There is always something beyond. This is the foundation of progress, moving forward and not staying still.

you're cutting together sentences that don't belong together. quarter-sawn and straight-grained are two attributes independent of one another. I'm confused by her calling those reinforcement bars "carbon graphite" - it sounds lik eshe's saying that they're carbon-carbon composite, which would be an extraordinarily high tech material to use for this (and I think that except for perhaps longevity, the only major advantage is useless heat resistance). what's otherwise used is regular resin-bonded carbon fiber, but then the terminology is wrong because no graphite is involved. those two carbon fiber bars would reinforce the neck a bit better if they were inlaid farther out to the sides.... and since I'm already nitpicking, the neck being quarter-sawn really matters very little, it's more of a compulsive practice to make things orderly. other than wood species and straight grain, it's all about seasoning to get the wood's warpage done before it gets built into a guitar and is then not allowed to warp anymore.

If you're breathing in wood dust every day, your lungs are not going to have a good time. Inhaling fine wood particles is a big risk factor to developing certain cancers. Wearing a respirator is proper PPE for people working with wood dust.
