AND YET ANOTHER LES PAUL NECK REPAIR VIDEO
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is the 3rd Les Paul neck repair video I have added to my channel. Does YT need another one? Not really, there are plenty out there. But if you have watched my first two videos you may notice some subtle changes to how I now make this repair. I get plenty of practice in this type of repair!
No commmentary in this video, just a relaxing watch.

Someday in the near future, these repairs will be the only way to authenticate the "real" LP. Then someone will argue (and try to prove) that the alterations are what gives them that feel and tone. Nice video.

Sure if idiots keep dropping them! However, there’s literally millions of Les Pauls dating back to the 50’s and only a small handful have broken heads because fools don’t respect their instruments!
That may well be the best LP repair I’ve ever seen. Especially the front of the headstock. Not even ‘imperceptible’… the crack is completely invisible! Well done. Well done indeed. 👍🏼

I think it may be the best we’ll ever see, too. Next time you see some clown advertise his broken Les Paul with a ‘Pro Headstock Repair’ that looks like crap, sent them here 😹 Gibson have 2 things going for them with these headstocks, purists and a high turnover rate for broken guitars and players repurchasing new ones. Bring back that 3 piece rock maple with volute. The neck would come out of the pocket before the headstock breaks.

@@lespaul667 You’re quite likely right. LOL I’ve seen so REALLY bodged Frankenstein looking ‘repairs’ on these things. More than a few hanging on the wall at various guitar shops that made me wonder if a wood chipper was involved in whatever happened. One thing is for certain… in my mind, if I ever do bite the bullet & actually buy a Les Paul for myself, and I end up with a headstock break - I’m going to get in touch with Flame Guitars! My expectations are a little higher now. 😉
Thank you for sharing your talent with the KZread community.

I certainly don’t want any neck breaks, but should there ever be the need, your the man l will be contacting. Your work is exceptional. I honestly haven’t seen better..👍👍👍
I hope I don't ever find myself with a broken off Les Paul headstock, but should the worst happen, I now know who to contact for a stunningly flawless and very solid repair. It's sad that I have more confidence in my Epiphones (from a potential breakage point of view), but as we know, those Asian manufactured necks have less of a 'break' angle (no pun intended) and are scarf jointed, so.... I think Gibson are in a difficult spot with this design flaw; for them to even consider changing to the Epi method or the filler wood method (or going back to the Norlin Volute), would probably cause purist outrage! Another very enjoyable video, thank you. Paul
Hi David, you are in danger of getting good at this, absolutely fantastic work as always.

Enjoyed watching you carry out an excellent repair on that broken headstock. As this is a quite common failing with Gibson necks I guess that you’ve had plenty of experience of this kind of job. If I’m ever unlucky enough to have a headstock snap off you’ll certainly be my preferred repair guy.

My hat is off to you, good sir. Astonishingly good work.
Very impressive work. Pleasure to watch.
Pure skill. A joy to watch.
Brilliant work, sir. That is spectacular.
That's a beautiful repair!! 👍 Years ago, right before we played a gig, our guitarist brought his brand-new Les Paul Standard. He had been saving for years to buy one (we live in the Netherlands, prices of Gibsons are stupidly high unfortunately), and was really proud of finally having a *real* Gibson. Which it indeed was, as, after soundcheck, the lighting guy nudged that guitar - it slipped backwards and yes: headstock snapped off completely. My friend was absolutely devastated. He did have it repaired (and it was reasonably well done too) but he never enjoyed that guitar again - sold it. I had a spare guitar he borrowed, and we did the gig without any further glitches. That was my Aria Pro II type PE60, made in Japan. Over 40 years old, I still play it live and in studios, and it's strong as a horse. Americans still love to call those instruments Jap-Crap 🤣🤣🤣 Little do they know, and I gladly keep it that way 😎👍🤣
Aloha from Oahu, Hawaii Braddah! I see we have another very skilled demonstration of your expertise….a professional repair like your last one! Surely do miss the UK and hope to return one day to show my Wife the villages where I lived for 6 1/2 years while there. God forbid, I have a neck break but if I ever did, I may have to suck up the postage and send it to you! Mahalo nui for sharing your time with the world.
You did an amazing restoration on the instrument. Thanks for the video
I would love to see the customers reaction to an amazing repair like this!

Bravo ! You did a fantastic job!
I bought a brand new Gibby from a seller online and when I received it after opening up the box then the case to my surprise the headstock had snapped off! I called them and send it back and got another one with no issues And yet, Gibson does nothing to erradicate this common epidemic. Great and amazing job there young man!
