Ride along with me and Bubba Joe as we continue our route up the east coast of America through Pennsylvania and making our way to the Cape Cod and Boston area before we start heading west on the second leg of our journey. The goal is to end up at my grandmothers (muppy) in Ohio to spend time with her on Sunday before I get back in the road and head to Chicago. I manage to also get a uship order for some side hustle money up in New Jersey shipping two doors to Oklahoma.
See how I spend my free time on walks with Bubba, and what I’m eating out here as we visit “Fast Pizza” in New Jersey and I enjoy some Lobster Ravioli after a long day out on the road.
I drive a 2021 Mercedes sprinter van 2500 170” regular with a high roof.
It’s gasoline and has a 4cyl turbo engine.
I don’t recommend a gasoline engine for long haul. Learn from me and go the Diesel route.
For 2 years I hauled expedited FTL Otr freight for a fleet owner doing a 60/40 split and traveled over 300k miles. 7 months after becoming an owner operator and dumping $8k I saved up into the van for repairs I experienced engine failure and I thought I was done and out of the game. Thanks to the love from my subscribers I was able to get back up and running and another shot at road life. This time I’m hauling LTL freight and it’s a totally different ball game for me. Ride along and experience the roads of America with me and Bubba Joe!

I caught the live for once! Ignore the haters. Keep God first! I love how you don’t lose your cool. Great video. We watched while we were trying to figure out what we wanted to eat tonight. We aren’t in New Jersey but we are making lobster ravioli 🍝🍝🍝🍝

Keep doing what you’re doing! It’s clear you have some trolls more invested in your life then normal. Infact it’s kinda strange and lame if you ask me. A man should never try and tell a man how to move especially as much as that James guy. Like you said buddy you never know what tomorrow holds. I like how you live by faith. I didn’t donate but would have if I was in the position to. I believe in who YOU are and I feel like the people who donated invested in more than an engine. They invested into YOU! Keep it up bud 👍🏻

Hi just wanted to know what is minimum insurance I need to deliver stuff? Prices are insane🤯. Thanks love what you do.🙏🏻
@ExpeditingAmerica

To do expedite you need usually a $1,000,000/$100k policy. Dependent upon who you work with. I just carry a $10,000 policy on goods through a 3rd party but this lane is different for every company you ship with. Insurance is a profit killer in expediting especially in some states like Florida.
I watch every vid you put out.. keep it up. If you ever decide to hire drivers. I would love to work with you
Looks like you and your buddy are doing well. It looks like your van gets very full. Are you able to use your bunk, or how are you getting a good night's rest? I'm going to redo my Sprinter and looking for new ideas. Currently I have a twin XL behind the Captins side running towards the rear. The bunk is hinged and folds up against the wall. I'm 6'2", so placing the bed cross ways is a little short. Sleeping in the seat is horrible! I try to avoid this at all cost. Thanks for the content, love it...
Thinking you should get a bigger truck, but bigger truck means e-logs stopping at weigh stations and alot more bull sh@t.

I just added more space by extending the deck. I might get a trailer that’s 5x7 so not as much drag. But so far it’s working out. Once I get more time to work on my bed and a few other things I’ll be good

How is the van running?
Anybody out there, I'm buying a 2020 Transit 250 (high roof, extended length). Who's a good provider for commercial insurance? Thanks in advance. All that moving you do with freight in your van, Brandon, is a good workout. That's important the older you get.

@ExpeditingAmerica

I get paid per job. Not weekly. The company lines it all up for me and I’m able to do side work too. It’s been 2 months and it’s working out better than before. It’s also a new and growing company with room to move up and get more involved or who knows I might do my own thing. Also hard to approach a company with one van trying to fulfill their shipments. Once I start saying I can’t do it they move on to the next. Which is why it helps having a network of drivers. The company is small and it’s working out for now. I’m building my side clientele and it’s working well.
@ExpeditingAmerica

Also I’ve tried booking my own loads. Bidding and driving and going on hikes with bubba, doing KZread as well as other side projects would be hard to do. I don’t mind allowing them to book, set up the route, etc.

I'm new to the industry, so I'm curious. Would you suggest avoiding the industry as a whole or just cargo van expediting? I see a lot of people mentioning too many miles on, but I never see things mentioned like that about the semi game. I know they make more rate per mile, but their fuel is almost four times the amount. Just looking for some advice. @@AmandaShowerless
