Girl I can’t portion to save my life. I’ve learned to embrace cooking mass quantities of everything and just freezing half. Yesterday I chopped veg for stir fry, and realized it was literally twice what I need, so now we have a great potion of stir fry veg in the freezer ready to use when we want. It’s a great tactic for overportioners!

Girl French press is my jam. For strong blends 4 tbs or regular coffee scoops for 5 minutes--this won't be super strong or overpowering but it will be flavorful. If you want your strong blend coffee to kick your ass 5 scoops for 5 minutes. With medium and light blends I also do 5 for 5. You don't need it to be ground any special way. Its all I drink at home and making coffee is my love language. French press never gets that bitter old coffee taste and it is the only coffee I will reheat. Also I'm a nurse and it is my favorite thing to bring my patients. Sounds like you got some great instructions for that coffee

For asian stir friy veggies, try using oyster sauce - not the healthiest but usually a tablespoon of it will do and it's a huge taste gamechanger.

Being muslim does not mean that you will do everything perfectly. Culture, upbringing, environment etc all play a part. I love the Asad sisters for many many reasons. And a lot of them are what we as muslims are encouraged to do: 1. They treat each other and their families with respect. They genuinely love each other and help each other. 2. They all finished their education and had jobs/have jobs, (nursing, social media manager etc) as well as their influencer business. 3. They got their islamic marriage (nikaah) done with Muslim men, and seem to be good at getting along with inlaws and each others families. 4. They take care of their belongings, house, pets, appearances, health etc. 5. They do not drink alcohol 6. They don’t go out and party 7. They seem to have remained in halal relationships before they got married 8. They do ramadan, namaz/salah, and mention their gratitude often 9. They dress modestly - never have I seen them in bikinis, or short skirts etc. 10. They do not seem to eat haram foods like pork! And go to halal supermarkets for meat. 11. They don’t appear to be racist or sexist or against other cultures, ethnicities, etc as seen by the fact that they themselves are also half American half Palestinian. Their friendships with others, their relationships with their dad and brother and husbands. Ok so they are not perfect! Yes they seem to be doing wudhu on top of nailpolish and makeup- but they are still doing salah! Ok they do not all wear hijab - a lot of muslim women do not! Ok to some maybe their dressing is not modest - they are doing their best mashaAllah, as We All Are. Otherwise its like saying if you miss one salah youre not muslim or a bad muslim and should never pray again! No!! You try n do better. None of us are perfect. Instead of bringing each other down we should be encouraging each other. May we All be guided onto better paths! May we all grow and mature into better human beings and better muslims. Ameen. Love to all the Asad family- i think you guys are amazing. :)

You know, I’m a big fan of the Assad sisters but I have to speak up on this… I hope I’m not blocked from this channel because of it but so be it. I find it really disappointing that on a previous video someone asked if their wudu would be valid with their nails done (they literally asked so respectfully) I took it upon myself to reply to them that no, it isn’t. Rather than just letting it be and letting people be informed/educated and make up their own minds on the subject, Loren decided to delete the comment all together. I don’t understand. You can do whatever you want with your life, whatever, but that comment didn’t harm you at all. Just seems weird to go out of your way to delete someone who even remotely questions it. Reminders benefit the believers after all!

@@heartbeat5854 I have been with them on their journey since 2016.. still never got anything, not a hate comment or something but I literally grew up with them and it would have been nice to have a firm and good stance on these things ( wudu with makeup / nail extensions )when I get questioned by my colleagues and other non Muslim friends. Since they are the amalgamation of American Palestinian Muslim and they have carved their way into the society.. so it would actually be super helpful if they shared these with their younger audience. And no one is perfect we understand just need a way to navigate elegantly.

I have a suggestion for you. When Johnny is in the car,put him in a crate or a harness that attaches to the seat belt so if you get into an accident,he is protected. Also if he is loose in the car and the accident happens,he will become a missle and go flying in the car and get seriously hurt,and if you get hurt and are unconscious,he WILL PREVENT rescue personnel from coming to help you. As a "pit bull mom" my fur babies always go in the crate.

I truly appreciate them sometimes because it shows a different lifestyle on the other side of the Atlantic - However, may I kindly share my thoughts on this particular vlog, from a European female perspective : Is the life of a young beautiful Lady just about facials, nails being done while your partner is at work, shopping on Amazon...? I wonder - What about non-materialistic or purely human experiences? What could be the purposes of a young beautiful Lady who relocated elsewhere to be with her partner? Setting-up a - real - business? Making new friends? Taking cooking lessons? Joining a book club? But when you also "brand yourself as a muslim", you know you are going to be held to a standard by the community you make your money from. (you can be a muslim on social media and not have that as your brand if you knw what I mean) I totally agree with that comment. The point isn't to not get facials or do your nails or shop. Dogs are the most loyal creatures I know. I honestly don’t understand why the are rejected due to the muslim religion. My dog will follow me everywhere, she is my biggest fan and companion and holds no grudges. She gets sad if I put her in the crate when I go out but once I open her crate she is the happiest to see me and jumps up to be with me. Completely forgetting that I put her in a crate to begin with. She is just genuinely happy to see me and be with me and loves me so much. They are so loyal and innocent and we humans should actually learn more from dogs. They are the best! If you don’t have a dog because you are restricted due to your beliefs, it makes me so sad. When they say dogs are a humans best friend, it could not be more true!!
