New warm up! The focus is on coordination of airflow and tonal onset with special dispensation for vowel alignment. Five main vowels used in singing instruction are covered as well as tons of work in the zona di passaggio ending ultimately with an endurance exercise that goes over the secondo passaggio (the break.)
Enjoy!

I smiled and it remknded me of present singing lessons. I hate zoom and I thank you for making all of this nightmare a little bit easier.
I am a baritone, but like to use these sometimes to see if it would help extend my voice, this lesson is extremely fun, you are like the mad scientist with some of these, thanks
God blessed you with lovely talents! May you continue to use them to glorify Jesus and be a light to others
I really like how soft you sing your warm ups. I'm a rock singer and it lets me calm my tension down and just relax and flow with you easily. And when I warm up light, I can later on sing with greater tension and push and my voice is much more malleable and protected.

As a girl with a lower voice this is SO useful!! The best warmup that I’ve found that genuinely tones and warmes both ends of my voice. Thank you so much for this video 🖤
Just under a month of using your various warmup videos and I can already feel a difference and loss of tension in my voice, thank you so much Jeff. Still a long way to go, but I'm loving every step of the way. Cheers from Arizona

So helpful! Always busy, so great use of drive time on the way to rehearsals. Just challenging enough to keep my brain engaged, and focus on warming up.
I have joined your lessons for 7 days. You help me so much and I found my voice changing being better quickly. So thank you so much👍🙏🙏🙏
You should do more ear training videos for tenor, and possibly put the keys of the warm up on the screen. I love this warm up! Thanks so much.

This is one of my favorite exercises in your varied videos. I like the range for the lower, mid and upper registers of my voice plus I like how it sounds with chords, etc. Both my choir directors have commented of the improvement of my voice. Thank you for helping along the way and challenging me. You have a very friendly smile at marker 5:00, too.

Jeff I absolutely love your vocal warm UPS such an incredible help. Might I suggest though that you go through the actual vow sounds without the piano explaining what they are 1st before you execute it would help would help tremendously. Thank you once again for putting these on KZread. Is a true gift for us singers.

This is one of my all time favorite exercises, I find it to be very useful and helpful except for the octave leap with the trill on the top. I don’t I’ll ever gonna be able to do that. Not with vowels, nor with the lip trill either 😅

Hi Jeff, love your videos. Just wondering what the difference is between this video and other warm up videos you have for tenors like myself.. Trying to find the best regimen I can do every day and before shows
@JeffRolka
6 жыл бұрын
Great question. The videos all have their own focus, though those that are 'daily warm ups' are the most generic in that they go through all five cardinal vowels and will generally be full range. Some are more specific to one group of vowels over another or I have the vowels arranged to achieve a specific effect, such as helping to focus the 'a' vowel. You can always have a look in the descriptions where I put some of that info. Best, Jeff
I've been doing a variety of these within my range for a few months and I really don't know if I'm getting better at anything. The only thing I do notice is that I can match the pitch and perform the exercise lol. How do I know if anything good is happening 😂?
hello, very good work for me...but, when the execices are fast, it's better for my understanding if, at first we do them slowly. Thanks a lot !!
