    I just finished my cam,headers,cats and etc. I always ran 93 octane but at 520hp at the crank I can watch the gas gauge move when driving. lol. My wife asked me”Is the car supposed to shake that much when we are stopped?” I did all the work myself and it’s a beast but now I have ordered Hellcat wheels,tires,getting a full paint job & don’t shut it off so everyone can hear it. Every where I go someone is making a comment on my car.

    Good rundown brother! I've put over 113,000 hard miles daily driving and racing every weekend and I've not had a serious issue yet (starter is the only one). Definitely do you maintenance, it will save you money and your car will be much more reliable. Sorry for chiming in the comments but don't want to see people waste money on the wrong mod and not spend money on the right one. 😉

    Damn good video brother.... I would like to add a few things..... I recommend replacing all the lifts when you do a cam swap - a Aggressive cam Profile is gonna work your aged lifters a lil harder.... to get all you can out of a cam swap - I would recommend pulling the heads and having them worked ( ported / shaved / bigger valves ) long tube headers like mentioned - intake swap or modded - upgrade the exhaust system itself / air filter ( cai ) - the key is ( like mentioned ) a good tune.... the top end of any engine is all about getting air in and out. Efficiently and as fast as possible....

    Have you heard of Varex Exaust system? It allows you to restrict flow of exhaust which is nice if your using it as a daily driver. I’m planning on putting one on mine I just bought a 2016 Challenger R/T and I want a borla exhaust system with varex tips but not many people get it

    This is a great review brother, well said and on point. Love that cam, its a bad mfer, but i feel you, somedays i just want to chill. I want my car to chill too 😂 Instead that mfer always looking flexing and looking for trouble. Ive watched several of your vids and am now a new subscriber. You do a great job brother, very articulate and well spoken, you obviously know your shit, peace ✌️

    First time watcher 💯 I have a 392 cammed but my shit is headers and borla exhaust but it’s too loud would you think it would effect the performance of the car if I were to put a stock hellcat one?

    254,000 miles on my Charger Pursuit and it was a cop car. I've got everything for a rebuild and about to pull the 5.7 out. Forged rods and pistons, 6.4 cam and intake, upgraded valve train, long tube headers and hellcat exhaust. I will probably do nitrous to bring it up the 600hp on the stock crankshaft.

    I got a 12 300c awd 5.7 with sos coilpacks and catback and kept up with scats until they hit 6th gear cause I have a nag1 but then my missfire popped up and cam will be on the way 14mpg is also better than I get with mds

    Yes they have MDS I I got my 2012 R T Classic 5.7 with 48 K on it and the first thing I did was get a diablo tuner and deleted the MDS and installed the 93 octane tune.

    That was the first thing I did to my 2012 Charger RT & American thunder flowmaster cat back. Now I have cam,longtubes etc & have 520hp at the crank. It’s a whole different beast now.

    Bro I live in the ATL and been trying to find a shop that does cams lifter and springs and it’s literally nobody that works on RT’s

    If you are supercharging you will definitely want to get a cam the maximizes the Whipple. Your stock cam just won't cut the mustard.

    If you dont get a proper tune when you change or add anything.. your engine isnt going to run right. you will in some cases lose power.. Side note the biggest impact for loss of power is the intake and heads since you already have long tubes your 1 3rd there.. With a better intake and port matched heads you smoking by those SRT's with what you already have.. They are from factory downtubed via the intake and heads to be almost 100hp less than SRT its legit how they package each series.. sxt to RT to SRT etc Induction is the biggest

    A "TCM and A PCM Tune" And a" Comp Cam" and "Long tube Headers" And your still Trailing 392s ! Time to Up Grade To hellcat. Sounds like more Noise your making Than power 😅

    My 06 Charger RT is getting around 12mpg average right now but I only drive about 10 minutes to work and most of it on regular streets. All stock, nothing disabled, about 94500k on it right now. Doubt the plugs have been replaced yet and that's on the list. It doesn't have VVT, just mds, but it's still a blast to drive and can be really surprisingly quick for only 350hp and very heavy. No RT badge on the front, just the deck lid as I guess that's the way most were built back then. Would be nice to do some upgrades like maybe a one piece drive shaft and some kind of anti squat suspension upgrade but it all costs money I don't want to waste right now.

    If you are not significantly increasing the power then don't waste the money on a one piece driveshaft, your stock one will be fine. I put 600 RWHP in mine for 30-40 thousand hard racing miles.

    @@ModernRedHemi I'm getting some vibration that comes and goes around 60 and I don't think it's the tires so I'm thinking it might be the rubber couplers or center bearing getting worn and loose. Lotta parts there that could cause issues over time. I think if it was the tires it would be consistent at certain speeds and not come and go. It's not super bad just noticeable at times. I haven't climbed under that area yet to see if anything gives or is slightly loose.

    @@69DartmanHey man, I have an 05 300c with a 5.7 experiencing the same issue. at highway speeds it feels as if my car is vibrating a very small bit. never does it under those speeds. Is that what the issue was for you?

    @@danielrichter945 I haven't got under it yet because it's not that bad and I'm lazy so not absolutely sure what's causing it yet but I know the rubber bushings and couplers wear out and cause issues over time so something to check. I spose it could still be the tires and it probably wouldn't cost too much to have them checked and rebalanced if they find a issue.

    Ive never worried about gas, i have a manual so my girl runs all 8, all the time! I dont have MDS lifters.
