maybe you dont know this but gorillas like other herbivores ferment all that plant fiber in their guts into short chain fatty acids. That means that they absorb high amounts of saturated fats. Humans cant ferment plant fiber to that extent so we have to get our saturated fats from animal sources. Humans are not herbivores, we are obligate carnivores. Also our gut pH is around 1.5 similar to a vultures. Herbivores around pH 6-7

Coming here from Joel Fuhrman's book on nutritional studies. If gorillas can be this muscular on a purely plant-based diet, it shows that we do not need to eat large quantities of meat to meet our daily protein needs. Broccoli for example, is high in protein
