The Nissan you were wondering about was called a NIssan Pulsar ('80s) in the US. The back section was interchangable and you could put on the station wagon looking rear as seen in the video or a version that looked more like a trunk deck.

That Red Car you did not know was actually sold her in USA as Pulsar NX Sportbak. You could convert from sedan to wagon. They were awesome. The rare of the rare breed are the T Top ones.

its a more fancy "Rest Stop" In California its just a small pocket on the freeway for restrooms and barely any vending machines. Some stops are along site seeing locations along the coast that are a little better than the others inland.
