It was a different destination than my usual travels as I spent the Christmas holiday with family in Dahlonega, a real Georgia gem. So, travel with me. Only not south of the border but to the good old south.

I use to live in the dahlonega area. I lived one mile from the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve & Zoo

Bears are actually very common in that area, as well as all of North Georgia.

Sí this is right in my neck of the woods! We live in Lawrenceville about 45-60 from there! Dahlonega is a beautiful place. We used to love to eat at the Smith House!! Loved the video! Happy New Year!

I loved your background music, especially the country twang. You are right, I never heard of Dahlonega but it looks quaint. I have been to Georgia ... when I was a kid, we drove from Toronto to Florida and spent Easter Sunday in Atlanta. All I remember of Georgia are pecan rolls and red soil. My main exposure to Georgia now is the Walking Dead - which I thought of numerous times as you hiked through the woods. Glad you were able to connect with family. Enjoy!

Beautiful cars! I don't think you need to be into racing to enjoy that museum. That's interesting that car racing came about from bootleggers!

Hey, Bucket List Travelers. That’s a very catchy name. This museum had a large space that was being expanded so I can’t wait to see it again.

Thank you for taking us with you on your trip to Dahlonega. I have spent time in Georgia, and the southern sweetness always takes my breath away. Great editing of some very pretty clips. Can't wait to see your video of PV and Acapulco.
