@Philip Nickel I personally bring an anguish too :) but I guess it depends on personal preference. Guardian boots are pretty good too, they're underrated IMO. Guardian boots give prayer which some people forget about, not just def. But pegs are pretty nice too, theyre both quite good. That being said I'm not that experienced at DKs =p

Nothing better than chill late night dks trip with this setup watching speedrunning streams. The best setup by far if you like relaxed gameplay

Great guide, I used to do the rex and prime only method when i first started but brought telegrab for the noted bones cause I was too low level to kill all in time, its really cool you mentioned it as an option :)

Thanks Sara! Yeah I think it’s not very well known about because I see lots of low levels only soloing Rex when they could be fighting Prime too. Glad to hear telegrab was a good solution for getting the bones/loot when you did it :)

Sara Christy did u do diaries to get them noted or does telegrab note them?

Worth noting that if you're on Task, you should bring a few Sanfew Serums as the Spinylops in the room will Poison you without a Serp helm on. You can also eat a Angler before you start your trip and flick Rapid Heal every 20 seconds or so to get a free Health buffer, helps a lot at the start of the trip if you end up tanking Prime & Supreme at the same time.

ZephosBalnazzar Yea, I recommended a few Antidote++ for slayer tasks. Sanfews definitely work too if you have enough. Good idea about the HP too!

Hey Andrew, one thing to add to using the bank tags - if you click the ‘+’ icon at the top-left of your bank and type in your tag (dks), it will make a new vertical tab with the dks-tagged items to save you time searching!

Yeah this, you can also set icons so you dont even have to click on each one it actually has a relevant picture that helps like kbd heads, kq head, vorkath head, pyromancer gear, magic secateurs, a slayer helm, whatever you think gets the idea of the tab across.

With RL you can quickly gear with the inventory plug in. It saves your setup and you can set it up so that all you see in the bank is your inventory items/items to equip

Not sure if anyone's commented this yet, but you can withdraw all the items for a DKS trip, equip gear/fill up invy, then right click on the deposit all inventory/equipment and set tag there, saving time :)

Was kinda scared to try them for getting killed and mainly the trek back but it's super easy. got abt 60 kills first solo trip, only had to leave because ran out of restores. Sgs is phenomenal here, thanks!

Hiya, I'm a high level player ~ 120+ cb & 2100 total, and have always been a bit wary of DKS. I'd gotten the Fremennik Elite diary kills by facetanking all of them simultaneously and dying many times in the process. With your help I've been able to get around 60 kills on my first and second trip. Many thanks. Already had an early Archer Ring and a few mil extra with the noted bones so far. These are awesome and I'm looking forward to making decent money here. I was getting a bit bored of Vorkath.

awesome guide man, getting ready to try it on my ironman and im kinda iffy about it. all my combat stats are 92+ except 75 prayer, just really never knew this boss because of teh trek but im getting tired of not having archer and seers ring (got zerker from soloing rex which doesnt count as bossing haha)

Archers ring 2nd supreme kill. Wtf

If you click fast enough on the ladder you can go back up without getting hit. Useful for seeing where the dks are.

What i found is that often, if u try killing prime, but hes not close to the edge and u have bp, you mught not be able to move backwards but you can still mive quite a few tiles to the side, so that way you can still get quitw fair away from supreme. Just a thing i thought id share.

Hey great video. First time watching your channel, already liked and subscribed. 1 suggestion and 1 question: it would be nice if you included time stamps as it makes going back to look at your gear setup/suggestions much easier. Is the strategy any different when you go in a duo? (no guides ever talk about this so would love to have this answered)

Thanks! I’ll consider timestamps if I get around to it. And no, the strategy is basically the same with groups. You could bring a second set of combat potions and more offensive gear since it makes it easier overall.

Because the magic damage of the minions rolls off your range defense, it's actually better to bring blessed hide over Karils for the pray bonus.

Good point, I knew about the range defense thing but looking at again it Karils only gives +2 more range def, so I think you're right. The prayer bonus is definitely worth it and it doesn't degrade.

forgot to mention the easiest way into dks room. Just go in until only DK is on you. Doesnt matter which. Run to the rex safespot. X log with prayer on. Log back into the same world (important or u might log into a world with another player). Wallah, none of them are agro'd and you're in prime position to take out rex via safespot.

Great guide. If using the twisted bow I recommend primordial boots because your range DPS is way higher than your melee DPS. Your magic bonus will also be higher with primordials.

Is there a way to kill only prime and supreme? Because i have 80 ranged and 85 str, 82att and 80 def but my magic is only 72

Thanks for the guide :D little more informative than the one I used a little more back. I've recently nutted up and learned all 3 kings on my ironmeme for the first time. Seeing all the rings drops are always hype even if i have them all. :p It's my new favorite slayer task and every time i get it I'm hyped for pet potential while banking 99 prayer bit by bit.

gooblegraysha Thanks! Yeah you can just leave them there or bring a bone crusher. If you want towards the end of the trip you can fill up your inventory with them with whatever space you have left

I wish you had a written list of your inventory items.

What i do when traveling to DKS is bring no rock and instead bring one anglerfish. I just eat it before using the claim pet option on the boy who gives the pet rock. This way it isn't a wasted inventory slot and youi're likely to take that 20 dmg either getting there or setting up your first rotation.

Just a suggestion if you could run through the dungeon in real time because its really difficult when you play on a small laptop to try keep up with you running through the dungeon sped up ..... constantly pausing rewinding and I died in the dungeon which was pretty annoying. Other than that ofc very good guide

Second trip I got 45kc, and a berserker drop :))

Well managed to get a couple kills after dying the first time, Think ill come back to them another time I get a slayer task but at the moment its a bit too much for me. Once you get them in a rotation is not bad at all, plus with a bit of practice the sustain wont be nearly as much an issue.

Something to note: the higher your combat stats, the more prayer bonus you should go for, trading off damage output for endurance. Dragonbone necklace, devout boots, ring of the gods, spectral, and trimmed range cape can all be worn with max stats and max gear for virtually never ending trips if combined with an sgs. I go dragonbone necklace and ring of the gods myself, or sometimes trimmed range cape + ring of the gods. +20 or so prayer is enough for me to do up to 200 solo kills in one trip.

Is it really worth bringing a holy wrench? You get +2 prayer points per dose of super restore, which with your setup is an additional 96 prayer points vs. 132 prayer points from just bringing another super restore in place of the wrench (this is with 99 prayer).

Even if you get lucky and get two Prayer potion (2) drops per trip - which is above average (drop rate is 1/128), it's only an additional 8 prayer points from the wrench. So with above average luck the wrench still only gives you 104 prayer points compared to 132 from bringing a super restore in its place. On top of that, the extra 28 prayer points from the super restore should allow you to get atleast one extra kill per trip. The extra is kill on average ~34k gp - which in turn more than makes up for the cost of bringing an additional super restore instead of the wrench. Obviously it's not a very significant difference here, but I can't see that the wrench is better in any way at all.

92 slayer, just got my first boss task, 35 dags. Wish me luck!

You can also fight DKS on a regular dagannoth task for a lot more than 35

right click the deposit inventory / equipment tab to tag all in one go (at around 1:10 )

What bow would you recommend, I can only afford a dark bow, maglic long bow or a rune crossbow, i do have a blowpipe but i seem to aggro supreme most of the time whilst killing prime because of it.

If you stay far enough to the Northeast it's possible to keep supreme off, but if you're struggling with this you can use a rune cbow and maybe try the 2 out of 3 method

l_Will_Be_Great there is actually a better safe spot you can use, it’s basically the one from the 2/3 method. Using that safe spot will result in better positioning of prime most of the time (further from supreme’s spawn).

The safe spot Andrew shows by the ladder for the 3/3 method results in less running, but worse positioning. It’s the best spot for duo’s, but I don’t like it for solo’s.

My only question is, why Karil's? I mean sure it looks cool but overall blessed d'hide will be better because of the prayer bonus, and your defence is gonna be pretty much a joke there because of how many Spinolyps will be attacking you and the bare defence range gear has on Ranged att style

Ajandre1 that should be totally fine. The 2/3 method essentially eliminates the time limits you have when doing all 3, so your speed isn’t too important

Definitely a hit or miss depending on the drops if you don’t have elite diaries. Otherwise this is about 400k-1m an hour. The 3m obv bring from the rings but otherwise great guide!

What’s your def/mage level? You can use it on the spinolyps/Rex. You might want more tanky armour like god dhide top/v skirt

@@1bloodz777 Just a random thought, are you attacking with just the trident, as you would with other mage weapons, instead of manually clicking each spell? Otherwise, the only thing I can think of is that your not healing off the spinolyps and rex as Andrew has mentioned.

Blood burst is actually working better? What's the difference? But I'm glad it worked out now, maybe you were just getting a little bit unlucky with damage before (this can happen sometimes)

Kind of feel like you're overdoing it with the gear setup. I bring blowpipe with Addy darts, whip and a trident with a 3 way switch included. Ava's / anguish with Karil top. Tormented / mage cape2 / occult and bcp/def/torture/fire cape for melee. I do more than fine with the spawn timers...

lots of good information, but very hard to follow, even tried a team and this guide gave us the information but did not work.

I'm not sure about that Holy Wrench. You only get a 1-2 points extra depending on your level.

Nagato Yuki If you have enough potions it will be similar to just bringing the extra potion but at no cost. You could bring a ring of the gods or max cape for the same effect

Just wanted to say "oomggg" because reply from one of my favorite OSRS channels . I just did some math and with your amount of restores with a prayer level of at least 73. It's about 1.5 prayer pots for that slot the wrench uses. So I get it now, I wish you went into a short thing about it in the video so I didn't have to do as much homework. Definitely gonna give it a shot tonight.

Why are you priroritizing karil's skirt over Verac's? I find the prayer bonus very important Verac's skirt has +4 more prayer bonus +84 range defence bonus vs karil's skirt which only has +33 range defence bonus. The only pro for the Karil's is the range attack bonus It shouldn't affect the mage accuracy either, as if you wear occult neclace and use trident of the seas your mage attack bonus should still be above 0 so it wouldn't make a huge difference since rex's mage defence only is +10. Or does it make such a big difference - I'm going to try it out, but I don't see why it would be better when viewing pros vs cons to be honest

The sole reason is for range bonus. Prime has decent defense and the twisted bow is not extremely accurate. I don’t have problems with HP so I don’t mind the defense drop. God dhide would be a bit better than Karils overall.

It's a pretty good option. But it doesn't give any prayer and the mage bonus it gives doesn't really help. But if you're doing some pray flicking it's probably worth it.

AndrewAJT i have base 80s but only 76 magic, would seers ring be a decent alternative to balance it out? Cant afford many of the options but have arch and zerk. I guess what im saying is which is hardest to kill in time to keep the cycle in balance.

Bo Horn Go with the Archers. Magic accuracy isn’t important vs Rex, which is why you see people wear range/melee gear while maging him. Magic damage boosts help a bit
