"Daft Punk - Da Funk" sample found
Музыка
I was looking for some samples, and I came across this “Zero-G - Datafile Three” which is a sample library from the UK released in 1992, one of the samples is this “Hit” sound that really reminds me of Da Funk, could it be that Daft Punk used this sample? Keep in mind that Da Funk was first released as a single in 1995, so the sample pack was released before the creation of the track, what do you think?
The sample of the "crowd" that you can hear in this track, also came from a sample library "Cititrax Sound Effects The Hollywood Edge Sound Effects"

It's impressive that almost 30 years later people are still finding some of the samples they used

If Todd Edwards worked with Daft Punk in more songs, it would take 30 more years to find them all.

I'm finding siht used by Josh Wink as well as newer artists like Bye2. She was given a Jungle warfare sample CD and has used that in her productions. Was able to find a sample she used while looking for a pad in a JW pack that was Archived on the Internet Archive.
I ALWAYS WONDERED WHERE THIS SOUND CAME FROM AND IT HAS FINALLY BEEN FOUND!! GOOD JOB YAZID!!

And I have this sample CD too hahah, along with the other Zero G data file sample CD’s, so many classic samples on those CD’s! I just didn’t notice this one right away
Also, check out Drumloop 77! Daft Punk sampled Barry White without even knowing it!

And I always thought about it being the drum machine's sample, daaamn
I download an EMU-SP1200 sound pack a long time ago, and it has this same hit but its named 'hit-9'. I wonder if this is where it comes from? It also has the Toms from Burnin, and a female grunt from their 90s live performances.

how does this 2 year old video look like it was from the early 2000s
Awesome ! You are the first to discover it, and 26 years later, same time of their separation !!
Fun fact: The over 1,000 samples also has a few sounds used on older Roblox clients.
Superb find!! :)
put some EQ on it and it's exactly the same, excellent find
Nice job man
i dont think the third and fourth hit is a repeat, im pretty sure its just "hit-hit, hit, hit, hit"
Look up this soundtrack on KZread and then go to 36:54 in the video. Sample confirmed.
You'll have to do a phase cancellation to know for sure, but I'd say this is 100% it.
OMG thank you so much for this. I've been literally losing sleep trying to figure out how to make this sound. I'm doing a remake of this song, trying to learn some sound design, and this stab has me pulling out my hair trying to recreate it. Yes. That is the same stab. I'm thinking maybe it was a finger cymbal "ting" that was reversed, distorted, and heavily filtered. Just the reverb not the original cymbal clink. It could also be a plucky guitar given the same treatment. Of course it could always have just been something straight off an analog synth. Someone who knows how to make this actual noise... please clue me in. TIA
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH AHHHH

And that library is before 1995? I doubt that they use sample libraries rather music that they like and micro sampling it. Pretty cool anyway. Good job

i mean they for sure used the sample library I don’t get what evidence you have against it lmao cd sample roms were huge in house music with things like Spectrasonics. And besides it literally says it was released 1992
