Just to point out a few things. Daemon understands Rhaenyra on a level no one else can. He knows she's married to a gayman and tried to have kids with him and was just doing the best she could. Knew she couldn't even mourn the guy she actually was with when he died but he could. He understands the injustices she suffers because she is a woman and he wants more for her.

Some types of crazy made the Targaryens a dynasty to remember, others made the world bleed.

Actually when I saw ep 7, after 10 years maybe she still needs to him and so is he. He always cares and pays attention on her by his eyes which is always looking and following her. Maybe he wasn't expressed by words but his actions and his eyes are also enough to know that he loves her so much. Loyalty ,protective and give her powerful actually her crown. Maybe I think Alicent is jealousy about Rhaenyral when she could live as way she wanted and seems the guys downed with her beauty. Well so regret to Alicent and Rhaenyral friendship, they wouldn't never come back as their friendship hood.

want to help you pass to the dark side of the force 🤣 in summary: he was not in love with Laena and this seems clear to me .. also from the answer he gives to Rhaenyra in this episode. He would not have wanted to go home to his brother ... why? also not to see Rhaenyra with another man and, in fact, in the last episode we see that when Laena tells him about Rhaenyra's children, he makes a joke in which he brings up Harwin ... strange thing for someone who does not see her for ten years and he doesn't want to know anything about his home. To many (including me) he seemed jealous. In episode seven she accuses him of abandoning her and he tells her he spared her. If you pay attention she tells him that, without him, her life has become a tragedy. He, only in that brief moment, gives her an honest answer (he is never clear, but he is ambiguous with everyone). I invite you to go and see what he replies to her. Basically Daemon replies: "I would like to know what you think about what has been of my life." .. It is an important answer because it is said after she told him that her life (without him) has become a tragedy .. Such an answer shows a glimmer in his heart, in which we see that he too has the same feeling and that he missed her very much. Then, of course, each of us can think as he wants 😊

That's not true, he always loved her and cared for her, when she was young he stole the dragon egg but all she had to do was ask him and he returned it abandoning his whole plan. Even when he was fighting with his brother, he would bring gifts for her and talk to her about everything she is going through. Knowing what he is capable of, he could have easily killed Rhaenyra and gotten the throne for himself but he didn't because the iron throne and all his ambitions are on one side and Rhaenyra is on the other side. Even then you could see he would never harm her and he would do anything for Rhaenyra. He has only truly and selflessly loved one person in his life and that's Rhaenyra.

Great edit! I really like this couple (ignoring that they're related for the sake of the show lol). But I really miss younger Rhaenyra. This older actress is great but I don't think she has much chemistry with Daemon's actor, which is a shame because the whole show is centered around their romance.

That was a fiery, chaotic, and wild passion. But he was young and reckless, she even younger with no one comparing to Daemon. The sex scene is just poorly made, in my opinion. It's dull and dark. There is no passion in it at all, though they longed for each other for so long. When we see her face, it shows absolutely no emotion. But the actors are good, so i think it's just bad writing

I know the scene was amazing, but something off with older Rhaenyra. I can't feel their chemistry which is sooo rare since Matt Smith is The King of Chemistry. Her high valyrian aren't good as well. Her face was always stiff and expressionless, i mean wth with the actor. She was supposed to be in the most comfortable feeling when she was alone with the guy she loves the most.

I disagree. Matt has chemistry with both Emma and Milly but in different way. Chemistry doesn't have to be fire but also can be connection or relationship or dynamic. While he and Milly were hot mess heat, he and Emma give warm feeling, romantic, also doesn't feel like uncle/niece so at least it is not creepy lol. I enjoy both. Matt is still awesome, he is king of chemistry.

I think older Rhaenyra is just more mature and self assured. Young Rhaenyra was like lightning bolts. Older Rhaenyra is a slow but insatiable smoulder. She is more experienced in life and love. The chemistry is still hot. It's just different as it should be. A lot of time has passed.
