In the 4th episode when she heard that Rhaenyra had sex with Daemon she was not happy about it she went straight up to her to make sure it wasn't true and you can also see how relieved she was when Rhaenyra denied it.

She was in love with Rhaenyra. She is jealous when she hears about her and Daemon. Not only does she call her out like she's mad about her "virtue" - but mostly, she feels abandoned - I think Alicent always wanted to be closer to Rhaenyra... that's why, for her, being with the King is no pleasure.

I’d like to think that he changed his mind mid way because he didn’t want to “ruin” her ,he wanted her officially and probably that’s why he asked Viserys for her hand ,but 💀he left because he wanted Rhaenyra to be shocked and confused and she wasn’t ,she actually wanted it and was excited so basically he didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t in control anymore and got turned off 💀💀💀💀💀💀

It was like he was hungry for her fire, and he loved igniting her mind, her passion and her desire, but inside, he has many flaws, and as much as he wanted her in that moment, I think he not only felt a loss of control - but - a painful conviction to some place in his heart where he wants more than just "that" with her. It's like he realized he could only hurt her, and I think for me, it was beautiful to see how powerful his conscience becomes when he looks at her. There is this wild respect for her that he has, and I think not only was he conflicted, he felt uncontrolled - and in a swift slam of his hand to the wall, the Daemon we know, had to regain control, for her sake and for his sake. The scene was beautifully done. And it was a good juxtaposition for them compared to Viserys and Alicent. Thank you for making this. It was also so romantic in the way that he asked to have her formally, because he WANTED her - and he also believes that their bloodline (including his brother) are the true Dragons that are above normal men... Like Gods. P.S. I am 100% on board this ship.

I couldn't've said it any better!!! ...many people tend to think he left cuz he didn't like her taking control, even the showrunners might've understood it that way BUT that's totally not the case in my view. On the contrary, so far he's always liked her showing her strong and rebellious side, the fire, after all, they are both dragons, he is clearly always proud of her when she's like that. So in my opinion it was more like Daemon's conscience at that very moment and a realization that she was more to him. She was not just some girl to get it on with in a brothel, like any other he's been with, it felt like he was frustrated with himself: on the one hand lusting after her but at the same time angry with himself for allowing himself to go that far with her putting her reputation at risk (hence him later asking for her hand officially) and perhaps it was also anger due to him realizing she might be his new weakness, someone he will think of before he thinks of himself, someone he respects and sincerely cares for. We could see it in all his stares n smiles, in him looking out for her, cheering her up, giving her hope and advice, going out of his ways to show and give her what no one else could what he'd learnt she'd dreamed of. They really are the same and he knows it. And in the scene with Viserys it really looked like he decided she was the best or the only match for him, to restore their house's glory together cuz she was as strong and as crazy and as freedom-loving as him. That they are great for each other... i hope the show won't ruin their rship by pushing other characters in between them or making them argue later or leave each other for drama...but oh well... Would be a shame to ruin something like this, though..
