That's just how it is in real life. People always think all landlords are evil money grubbers (no thanks to media pushing generalized caricatures, like the old Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies), but the reality is that 99% of them are human beings with compassion as well. I even had a landlord once waive the fee for being late when I was in-between jobs. They ain't gonna get money from rent if they're a-holes who evict regularly. People gossip.. and a crappy landlord is gonna have empty rooms making no money, lmao. I mean, it's no different than a good boss. Treat someone well and usually you get rewarded for it. Be a decent landlord and your tenants are more willing to stay (which means more guaranteed money, if you want to add an ulterior motive to it).

NO SPOILER: The Ranks aren't gradual improvements, they are exponentially stronger. A proper D rank is strong enough to take out like 5-10 E ranks with ease. A C rank could take out 20-30 D ranks no sweat. a B rank could fight 100's of C ranks with a little effort. A Rankers could take on an endless amount of B ranks. And finally S ranks which could take on entire nations by themselves with little issue. The actual difference in power between the ranks is beyond staggering.

I think it's more logarithmic-based, each rank is stronger than the previous by a power of 10. Obviously we're both just speculating cause they never mention this anywhere. Although there's no way a B rank is fighting hundreds of C ranks lol, maybe 10.

So far, I've been loving the Adaptation of the Anime, but the only gripe I've had so far, is pretty minor, but they did leave out a really good humor moment when SJW was contemplating his STR stat and it affecting his body. He wondered what would happen if he kept focusing entirely on STR, and imagined himself as just absolutely Jacked beefcake and was turned off by the idea, and decided that it would be better to start spreading his stats out.

@@apollogarvan9446 yeah, but what i'm saying is, you don't get to see him imagine going full STR and getting bulky, and getting grossed out. Instead he just comments on how he should start balancing his stats out now, without the moment of humor that came with it. Its one of the small minor scenes that shows SJW being more than his usual "emotionless" self that he starts becoming, its a "human" moment for him. I hope they don't make a habit of cutting these moments out.

Thing I love about korean anime/mawha/lightnovels, the female characters are written in a more realistic way than in japanese ones, this also makes relationships in that media feel more natural.

@whitenobeard Yeah but, even so, it's still very strange for a sister to be into her brother. And it happens the other way around too, where the brother would be into the sister (although this doesn't happen quite as much as the former). So, I feel it less-so has to do with misogyny and more-so just a strange and inaccurate conception of sibling dynamics. Perhaps a product of the creators being an only child? Strange regardless, especially since Korea for some reason doesn't do that. I'm sure misogyny has something to do with it still, but idk if it's the main factor.

@@whitenobeard I think that depends on the generation. I mean, Fullmetal Alchemist was written by a female. There are a decent amount of female mangakas that are pretty popular. It's more the older generation that have some.. problematic tendencies and attitudes, but you can probably say that of ANY country/race.

Regarding the sister acting normal, it's because this came from a Korean comic. They sort of have the opposite problem of Japanese ones, where the main character has like zero libido at all. Half the time there's not really any supporting characters either, it's just all main character all the time.

When you replayed him getting ready to fight the spider I had a flashback of reading the manwha, scrolling through, and then immediately doing a double take and scrolling back up to a good shot of his ass. Rest in peace to the artist, he knew his fans well.

I think it would be interesting for you if you read the solo leveling manwha of the chapters that were animated, after the end of this animated season.

The serpent boss he killed was C ranked.

Every Hunter is literally an NPC, if you think about it. He's the only actual Player. Loving this show!
