I love how seriously they took the culling scene. Its satisfying to see the hunters get whats coming to them, but they are still humans, and Jinwoo is a murderer. There really was no other way out other than to kill to be killed. What an amazing scene they animated perfectly.

Take a few minutes to think that through…then call Jinwoo a murderer again…. I’ll wait. 🧐 Not the right word for Jinwoo is it? Also you didn’t consider his defense of Yoo Jinho. 6 hunters against 2 ( yes I know Jinho did nothing, but the scenario is just that) and one of the 2 just got a message that says “ Kill them, or I kill you.” If I am in Jinwoo’s place: They all die! I have to survive, my mom and my sister need me. I need this bread 🥖 as rent is due. And last, I was just told my HEART WILL STOP if I don’t take them out! Add to the fact that they tried three times to kill me: 1. Blocking us in with the spider. 2. Telling Jinho to kill me! 3. Setting your team on me! Hell yes they die, and those three times they tried to kill me warrants their death in return. This was not murder. Not in the true sense. This was justified/FORCED self defense and the defense of another Hunter. Jinwoo is not a murderer, he is a survivor and was a victim. He chose life and NOT to be victimized.

The kind of Wimp MC that you will mostly see on Japanese Mangaka, it's always the same, also the reason why I dropped many Manga/Anime, because it always like this: - Antagonist kills many people including innocent - Wimp MC beats Antagonist but didn't kill him - Antagonist was given a second chance or Antagonist was sent to prison and was helped by another Antagonist so Antagonist 1 got new power - Antagonist 1 kills more people - Wimp MC thinking about some BS - Wimp MC finally kills Antagonist 1 after many people got killed and a lot of damages done in the City/Village - Repeat

ichigo is far better tho he has development in not only strength but also his own ideology and who he thinks himself to be.Him not being able to accept himself is the whole point of is character development included the peak moment of "the blade is me" where he truly accepts all aspects of his being, manwha is generally trash at giving characters flaws,which is very important to any character in any show, is to give them flaws and make them either accept their flaws or remove them(which isn't possible for some aspects of a person) as they develop,it also gives them a sense of reality and a complex and deep narrative,there is a reason people like Guts sooo much and its not because hes "badass" or strong, well that too but mainly because hes a flawed person who doesn't know what he wants in life and has to overcome hurdles including simple things like trauma and ptsd.

He constanly contemplates his past, trauma and the hard decisiosn system forces upon him while slowly losing his innocence but he still has his conscience and some morals. Eiher you dont read the subtitles and jinwoo's monoluges at all or you haven't b watched the anime

Ufotable would've done a perfect job adapting the manhwa high color art style and epicness. Read the manhwa after season 1 if not you're gonna be disappointed watching the remainder of the anime if you read the manhwa.

I have read certain people complaining about how this was underwhleming compared to the manhwa, I can understand why they said that but you can put so much detail in a single still frame compared to an animation, of course it will look different, it's a different type of media

Finally I been waiting for the past week for masa to post solo leveling ❤

The somber music in that last massacre was fucking PERFECT! It really reflects how Jinwoo isn't fighting the hunters, this isn't an action scene, he doesn't WANT to kill them, he's being forced by their actions and "The System" to kill them or he will simply die. He isn't playing with them, torturing them, or mocking them, he is simply reacting to their actions. Even for a character like Jinwoo, who has been taught again and again and again that in the world of hunters, power is absolute, it's all that matters, he struggles at first with killing his fellow man, if they hadn't been such murderous douche-canoes he could never have done it, though of course, if they were just normal hunters he never would have received that Urgent Quest. It's bloody incredible character work and only a TASTE of what is coming down the road, good GOD I love when a show is faithful to a well written novel, you can really feel how focused the story is on exploring the character of Jinwoo as he experiences these horrors.

NO ONE CAN WATCH THIS SHOW AND NOT LOVE IT. JINWOO IS "HIM." I even told them that Jinwoo is HIM. The amount of excitement I get watching this is INSANE.

The song added the Ambience that the anime was holding back in the Manhwa. More anime needs to have this. For those like me who read the Manhwa, we know its a great anime. Now we know its always possible to get better.
