Facts! I'm guessing he's from my age group(I'll be 50 in a few months) & in my day you knew what it meant to work for something & if you had a problem with someone you settled it one on one & no one stepped in unless A)someone else did or B)you made a bitch of yourself by hittin/kickin someone who was down & out. Nowadays you can't challenge a dude without all of his friends jumpin in or someone pullin a gun. My Daughter knew how to shoot at 7 years old...shootin a gun doesn't make you hard or more of a man, it's the exact opposite. It shows how afraid you are to face the person. Sorry, I'll stop ranting...hopefully it makes sense to someone.

Big ups to y'all for y'all appreciation for quality music. All the guys on this song are legendary. Royce, Black, Tip, and Marshall are elite. They're in a league of legends like the game. They all bodied this beat. Big ups to Denaun for producing the beat. The Brand Nubian reference in Royce's verse is ILL. Brand Nubian came out with a song Called Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down like 30 years ago. The group of Sadat X, Grand Puba, and Jamar is legendary. This whole song is lit. Royce, Thought from the Legendary Roots Crew, and Marshall murked this joint. Q-Tip from Tribe Called Quest got busy too. I've been bumping the music of every spitter on this song for many years. R.I.P. Phife Dawg from Tribe Quest. Denaun produced this beat. He got busy too. Black and Royce are top 15 of all time. Em is top 5 of all time. Tip is in my top 30 or 40 of all time. When you can, check out Wishin Part 2 by Royce ft Black Thought and Guerrilla Monsoon Rap by Talib Kweli, Black Thought, Kanye West, and Pharoahe Monch. That Long Kiss Goodnight song by Biggie reference is fire too. The God in the flesh part is a Nation of Gods reference. The original man of the planet is God. The original man of the planet and father of all humanity is fully melanated. J Dilla is producer. Dilla is one of the best producers of all time. He produced stuff for cats like Elzhi, who's from Michigan too. Elzhi is one of the best rappers of all time too. What if Elzhi was on this song too? Thutmose The Third was an Egyptian Pharaoh. When Black Thought said he's the Honorable Minister, he referred to Minister Farrakhan, if I'm not mistaken. Black Thought spat the second verse and Tip sang the hook. Em's shoutouts to all the melanated rap predecessors and groups that emerged before Em are incredible. Lamont Coleman and James Todd are two of the greatest rappers of all time. Erick P Making Dollars is a legendary group. N***** Wit Attitude is legendary. ODB from Wu is legendary. Big ups to Rakim God Allah & Eric B. Big ups to Run DMC group from the 80s. Big ups to Kool G Rap. He and Rakim are top 2 of all time. Shout out to Ice T , Eazy E, and Dr Dre. R.I.P. Big L, Biggie, Eazy, ODB, and the rest of the artists who passed away. The Ice Cube song and Protect Ya Neck by Wu song references are heat. Some of the names Em shouted out are people I never listened to. I'm surprised he didn't shout out Outkast, Twista, Common, Masta Ace, DOOM, Kurupt, Ras Kass, Guru, and Mobb. Eminem always shows reverence for the melanated predecessors who influenced him. Slick Rick the UK-born rapper is one of the legends as well.Super Lyrical is a song by Pun ft Thought. Big Pun is top 10 of all time. Black is one of the illest ever. Both of these cats are super lyrical. Rest In Power Christopher Rios. Super Lyrical is a song on Big Pun's Capital Punishment album that came out in 1998.

43 year old white dude who grew up in a predominantly black community and went to predominantly black public schools etc. My passion for Hip Hop rivals yours. Much respect. Just FYI... not in this song but Em has mentioned every emcee you listed. Just on other songs throughout his career. The funny shit about me is I thought Em was hispanic when i first heard him. When I found out he was white I thought "Oh he's corny." Because I was rapping my ass off in Jerzy. But over time... his skill became undeniable. At this point it's overkill. I went from Rakim to Redman/Nas/Jay Z to Em. Those are MY GOAT's. There are others but this shit will get way too long. RIP to Biggie, Big L, Tupac and Big Pun.

Hey, dad you so are right about paying homage to those who paved the way for us. And Eminem being the g.o.a.t. well he'd be so full of himself if he didn't realize he didn't get where he is without his idols. So younger singers should remember to do the same. Different styles, different eras mixed with different music scenes make it impossible to definitively pick. That’s why I prefer saying “one of the best ever”.

Just compare verse one of this to this entire BE4 song: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dnaqttyqeL3Sp8o.html It's all Royce. I think Denaun credited for writing and production. I wouldn't be surprised if he also laid vocals for the hook alongside or in place of sampling Busta's Woo Hah!

What's missing is honor. Without honor, there is no homage. Eminem has a code that transcends race, gender and sexual orientation. It's listening. When one listens, one can find the common "thing" that links one to another. True links. Not what is perceived, but, what its known. "Don't nobody bump Eminem in the hood," but, they know the lyrics to his most obscure songs.🤔 Listening to Eminem is like riding a moped. It's fun, but, you just don't want anyone to see you. 🤣
