Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is the second studio album by American rapper Travis Scott. It was released on September 2, 2016, through Grand Hustle Records and distributed by Epic Records. It exclusively premiered through Travis Scott and Chase B's radio show Wav Radio on Beats 1 and Apple Music. The album features guest appearances from André 3000, Blac Youngsta, Kid Cudi, Nav, 21 Savage, Kendrick Lamar, Bryson Tiller, Young Thug, Quavo, K. Forest, and the Weeknd. Production was handled by a number of record producers, including Nav, Vinylz, Mike Dean, Cardo, Frank Dukes, and Allen Ritter, among others.
Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight was supported by three singles: "Wonderful", "Pick Up the Phone", and "Goosebumps". The album received generally favorable reviews from critics, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, earning 88,000 album units in the first week.

You dismiss so much of hip-hop with this statement. Late 80s till like 2001 was arguably "the peak of hip-hop". The craft and genre was developed so much in that period. Early 2000s you had acts like Dre dropping one of the most classic hip-hop albums of all time. Eminem dropping his best work. Jay-z dropping The Blueprint and Black Album. Ye with College Dropout. Madvillainy. 50 with Get Rich or Die Trying. I think there is not "one" era in Hip-Hop that is better then the other. Hip-Hop/Rap has evolved and progressed as a genre for so many years. Who would've ever thought that it would become the most popular genre in the world. Every era has great albums and music. Don't get me wrong, I love Travis. That's why I'm here. But calling him or his work "the peak of rap"....nahh.

This was a special album. Travis would go off on social media about how big of a Kid Cudi fan he was, and this was his first collaboration with him. Definitely a huge moment in your career for an idol to turn friend. I remember the goosebumps I felt after hearing Cudi on the second track, I didn't expect 2 features.

I LOVE how much he loved Coordinate. Very underrated in his discog.
When your dad said his voice sounds like a synth on beibs in the trap that was like the perfect description of Travis' voice with autotune. Just straight up sounds like an instrument.

I love how Travis referenced one of Cudi's songs on through the late night the track was day and night by Kid Cudi

I think it’s so cool how your dad has taken in music. He related the psychedelic feel of the album to Yatchy and back when this released no one would have made the comparison 😭. It’s so cool to see him relate different tracks because he’s listening to albums at different times.
Since you talked about introducing your dad to 21 and how he loves heroes and villains i think without warning would be a great album to listen to
being able to technically experience through the late night and goosebumps for the first time again is awesome, i have overplayed those songs to death so its so cool seeing kev's reactions. also cant listen to the 2nd half of way back without wanting to go and listen to prices by lil uzi lmao. much love boys.

It's a good album, but it's his weakest for me (after Utopia it's no doubt). That proves how great of an artist is Travis, having such a great album as his one of the weakest.
Sdp interlude extended version is 10x better that final version and I’m glad it’s been gain popularity recently cause it deserved to be in the album
This is definitely Travis’s best album. The other projects are bigger for sure but as a full project this one is the most complete imo.

I mean, Rodeo is arguably the best trap album of all time. Also some of Travis’ best production and his best rapping.
