She’s just sold out Alexander palace two nights in a row in London which is around 10,000 people so I’m really glad her home gives her love. She has a really thick London accent rapping style I can see why it might be a bit harder for her to break. Hopefully they catch on but if not, don’t care. They haven’t got so much great shit. I think I remember Simz saying in an interview with fantano that she put Miss Understood at the end because she had more to say, and she knew she'd regret it if she didn't say what she needed to. I agree that 'How Did You Get Here' would have made an incredible closer, but with how breathtaking this album is from start to finish - for me, ending on the softer more personal moment of Miss Understood grounds the entire project. It brings the whole thing back down to earth in the most beautiful way

I love albums that do that at the end. Even My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and To Pimp a Butterfly end in that sort of way with the scattered clap at the end of Dark Fantasy and Kendrick calling out for Tupac instead of ending triumphantly made for better endings imo

For me, the reason the last two tracks are in the order that they are because Simz is letting her sister take priority over her because that's what introverts do. She would rather end the album talking about her sister instead of herself. Idk if I'm reading far too much into it or it was just a sub-conscious thing for her, but that's what I like to think in terms of the ordering, love the reaction 🫶

But this has genuinely become better on each listen, and it was without a doubt the best first album expirence I have ever had. My friend and I went in blind and we were both stunned. The production and orchestration is flawless. The sequencing is unlike any album I've heard, with the use of interludes that genuinely sound amazing and add so much to the experience. been binging your videos lately, I love how much production pieces Kevin is able to catch. This channel really works because he's musically literate enough to understand and explain what he likes about each track, and the reactions are completely blind so each video is exciting. Any chance you guys would do Luv is Rage 2? I know it would be a little bit of a change of pace with such trap heavy beats, but I think it's Uzi's most cohesive album and there's a lot of production I think Kevin would appreciate.
