really appreciate the song choice. a lot of the people hating on it are forgetting that one of the main objectives of this channel is to expose people to music they may have never heard before or considered really listening into. yes, it’s different. but that’s the beauty of it. you don’t have to like it, but it’s always good to keep an open mind and expose yourself to different things. keep up the amazing work guys

If you have access to a decent set of speakers man this song is crazy. Those beeps at the hook sound like there coming from everywhere and the piano just swallows the mix. And the way they recorded the vocals you can even hear lean moving around the booth at different points in the song. Super cool experience if you get the chance.

This song has a deep connection to a dark time in my life 3years ago, the album was released the same day that the situation I was in ended and this song really really hit the moment and how I was feeling almost perfectly. After that day everything changed. To be honest, even listening to now is extremely triggering, more than anything else in my life.

watching this while sobbing. agony is so beautiful yet heart wrenching. i cant listen to this song without thinking about everything that has gone wrong in my life at the same time appreciating the beauty of the world. yung lean has had such a big impact on the underground scene and really just put so much raw emotions in agony its so beautiful
One of my favorite songs of all time. Such an amazing songwriting
the pure emotion i feel from the first piano chord will hit me like a truck for the rest of my life. this could be the song i have my first dance to.
One of those songs that’s saved my life on multiple occasions. Long live Lean!
I liked that your dad picked up on the amatureness. That is one of my favorite things about DG and SBE. Especially with their older stuff. It sounds like a bunch of dudes doing drugs and making music in their garage. It’s very refreshing
This song is honestly one of my all time favourites. It used to pop into my discover queue on Spotify before I got into Lean. This was back when I lived somewhere else living a life completely different from the one I have now. It was a turbulent time in my life and when I hear that song it makes me reflect on a lot of things. Words don't do it justice of how much of an experience it was getting to see it preformed live.
First time listening to this track in a loooong time. I just cant handle it. It means too much to me and i start crying everytime.

please show him Red Bottom Sky. another gem from Lean and its along the lines of his trauma he has faced, thank you for choosing this song to show your Dad. It is a piece of art in my opinion, this is the real Lean.
As a Swedish listener of hip-hop since the 90ies I remember when lean entered the scene and a younger co-worker showed me him way back in -13ish.. I did not get it, but 10 years later he changed the game.. Probably one of the biggest influences on the world stage since abba from Sweden, and we have many - music being one of our biggest exports after all.

Lyrics to folow: Take a pill and go to sleep I'm chasing witches in the street I'm the last page in your book Can't write a song, only do hooks Watching horses in the fields The dragon rests in agony When I'm afraid, I lose my mind It's fine, it happens all the time When I'm afraid, I lose my mind It's fine, it happens all the time Isolation caved in I adore you The sound of your skin So many lies that I've found Blood, Heaven, I stick to the ground So many times I realized What I seek for is right in front of my eyes I'm alone in a hole in the ground A theater of dogs is still around My furniture has come alive I'm dancing with a candlestick tonight Flying kites, raven outside my window Smiles with fright Isolation caved in I adore you The sound of your skin Isolation caved in I adore you The sound of your skin Isolation caved in I adore you The sound of your skin Enjoy ❤

This song captures something about the human experience that can only be illustrated through song and it seems that Lean has captured this feeling perfectly with this song
I appreciate winessing an older man take this oddly beautiful song seriously. My dad would just immediately laugh at the opening line and do an Indian-accented version of it. This is the first video I've seen on your channel, but I think it's great that he's clearly instilled a deep and nuanced love of music in you. I also agree with y'all on his voice, which i often see criticized. There's something particularly human about the vocal style of "drunk guy stumbling across a field languidly singing his heart out ." Good-ass video 🤙

WAS WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG
I normally don't comment on KZread, but I might be able to give some insight. Yung Lean suffered from drug induced psychosis, which practically made him lose a sense of being grounded. As someone that has experienced it, he was probably hallucinating and wasn't at all grounded in reality, therefor a lot of the lyrics might have more context. Stuff like "My furniture has come alive. I'm dancing with a candlestick tonight." and even lyrics in songs like Red Bottom Sky like "I heard shooters on the roof, yeah, they tryna shoot ya." in my personal opinion sets the tone of the album. Psychosis, and hopefulness. Yung Lean was also later diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Stranger is a hopeful goodbye, and in contrast Starz is the result of him getting better and finally feeling grounded and belonging. Anyways this is my interpretation of it all. Yung Lean's music has helped me with my own drug troubles and my disorders, and I hope you'll do more of him.
incredible video to a song i really enjoy!! was great listening to you summarise yung lean and then hear you both discuss the track really well ❤
Great seeing the goat getting some recognition
looking at both their reactions it's easy to tell they know exactly what yung lean is talking about, this song just breaks everything down to the bear essential truth that everyone just wants to be loved

what a wonderful video, thank u two 🖤
Hello, nice video! I would like to add that Lean speaks in metaphors a lot in this song and what’s beautiful about it is everybody can interpret it different and find their own meaning to them. I love this song, i like how your dad pointed out that even though iťs a sad song about being down and isolated there’s a sense of hope behind those lyrics. One of the best songs Yung Lean ever did imo
Gotta appreciate the gluee vinyl in the background ❤️

I got to tell Lean how much this song meant to me on his tour in 2017 he said "thanks to you my friend" I melted.
one of the most beautiful songs ever
I always tear up listening to this song late at night because the theme of loneliness and “isolation” hits home. I would love to see him perform one day :)
Show him Miami Ultras... similar story behind it and also a beautiful song
Yung lean is a pioneer in music. I think of him as an abstract artist. His lyrics are not bound to something, its very vivid, alive and open for everyone to interpret with their own imagination and life experience. He doesnt allow any rules to lock him in anything.
Shoutout to your dad man, what an amazing individual
man, I wish i could hear this again for the first time
