Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I smiled all the way through this one ... loved seeing the whole family pitching in and getting the job done. Another generation of good young people in the works. As an urbanite, I was thinking it's really too bad we can't give our kids the opportunity to accept this kind of responsibility.

I often think about how different it must be for urban kids growing up versus us rural kids

@@MillennialFarmer Huge difference between the communities. It really is a cultural difference that neither side fully understand. I've lived in both, and really missing the farming community, especially as the years fly by faster and faster.

You're very blessed to have the kids learn as fast as they do and be able to jump in and help when you're in a pinch. They did a great job!

Having helped my parents run a 400-fill-per-day family pharmacy most of my life, I can appreciate the kids actually being willing to dive in when it counts and I hope I can do the same with my kids someday

Part of me was hoping we'd get to see the kids run some equipment during harvest this year. They did so great last year, and they did phenomenally again this time. Awesome to see everyone jump in and help get stuff done. Condolences to you and yours on the loss of your grandmother.

THIS one was really wonderful. I personally loved seeing Onyx and Rhianna running the equipment!! Becky too but, I knew she could do it. She is wonderful but encouraging to see the younger ones stepping up like that. THAT is was farm families are all about. You guys give me faith in the future. THANK YOU!! And serious blessing on you for your wonderful values. You have really done well at "Keepin it between the rows"!!

Zach, Becky, kids, dad im so sorry for your loss. Its not easy to lose a family member but its tough when it happens during harvest. Im so proud of you both for teaching the kids to be responsible and help out on the farm. My mom and family grew up the same way, but things were more difficult back then. Glad we had those lessons. God bless the Johnson family. Prayers for a safe harvest and comfort during this difficult time. 🚜🚜
