Actually, arresting a person as a prank is a crime if its a legit officer. The officer gets in trouble for misuse of badge, gun, office and unlawful confinement and inflicting emotional distress. The kids also can get prosecuted severely if a prosecutor get wind of it. Think inducing a public officer to misuse his office.
