DAD ATTEMPTS TO DROWN THE FAMILY AT HAULOVER INLET (It Looks Like) Boat Zone

Ойын-сауық

Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

In your opinion, are the parents being careless as the kids deal with tough waves and bad weather while crossing Haulover Inlet?

I really like the high quality of your vids. Especially no narration or commentary. Just the sound of the inlet, waves, and boats.

Most boats are going way to slow and have their engines trimmed down. Going out of the inlet? Tilt engines up and increase the throttle until the bow is up and the boat is partially planing. ( Unless you’re the twin girls in the Blue Top Legend who zip out of these inlets full throttle “balls to the wall”.) Coming into the inlet, keep the boat on plane and get on the seaward side of a roller wave. Use your throttle to stay on the backside. Engines trimmed up enough to keep the bow high. Don’t go over the top of the wave, or you could bury the bow and the following wave will flip you over.

100% agree with you. Trimming of the outboard engines for planing and to suit the sea conditions is of vital importance and need to be adjusted accordingly. Once this is set up correctly, your average speed can be determined to suit the swell or wave conditions to prevent bow dipping. Trim and speed go hand in hand.

I was there yesterday. Mid morning, tide going out with a stiff breeze coming in so fairly rough and I was looking forward to seeing some action. I stood for nearly an hour and finally saw one boat going out, lol. I guess Thursdays aren't the best for viewing.

When they turn those battlewagons into charter boats they re-engine with a small diesel that might have 1/4 of the power it was originally sold with. He was probably full throttle.

Yes, the parents are careless, risking their kids lives without life jackets on. I'm in Australia now, formerly from South Africa, Cape Town notorious for crazy waves and we WOULD NEVER risk our childrens lives like this. I've seen so many people flounder for jackets once the boat goes down 🤬 A boat can sink in seconds! On one of your video’s a man’s back was broken trying to exit the inlet, good luck staying above those waves with a broken back buddy. How silly, fortunately the boat survived. Having said this I LOVE your video’s but get stressed out about the children 😱😱😱😱

The only small craft where competency was visible was the police boat, good speed, attention to the waves and safety. The other all just think “ I have a big boat, big engines, let’s just use all the power!!” No brain.

@jacobward523 It seems to me that there are a lot of people in that inlet that do not understand the danger and just barrel through oblivious to boat safety techniques. It is scary to think that anyone can just jump into a boat and go out into that inlet. The passengers lives are often at stake.
