Yeh my Dad was never interested in us and he recently died aged 78. I felt sorry for him loosing his life but as a father figure it didn't have much impact. The Dad here is amazing.

@lana lake Awwww thank you that's really kind of you. I have my own children now and they're grown up but they'll always be my world. I'd hoped my father would of tried to be a good grandfather as if he'd been given a second chance but he was just as bad at that. I look back now with irony and exasperation. I did learn a lot about myself throughout this process so I think something good did come from the life lesson. You've always got to keep your chin up and don't let others grind you down. 😁💜

@@siantelove it was an extreme situation....I think if your child is dying in your arms, you feel the life leaving his body, you are tired, losing all hope, you would not probably want to let go and just want to stay with your child.... I guess it would be different under different circumstances but I felt in this situation I understood this man and could identify with what he was saying.... Do you have a child?

I imagine that would make you more likely to make the choice to hang onto your only child and die with them. If you had 2/3/4+ kids would the will to survive for they're sake change anything?

My 2 beautiful kids are my world my son was the only child my husband n I gave him lots of love from us I just wanted one child cuz my son has ADHD he needed lots help so my son is pride joy my king my rock n if something would of happened to him I'll go with him too then 10 years later my daughter who is 4 years old she has Autism n that's why I am still living cuz of them. Their my battery/my 2 heart to live/my eyes to them grow up but the most important is they are world without them I don't wat can happen if I don't have them

The personality on that kid is amazing...His whole vibe/aura is of someone much much older.

I absolutely agree with you on your opinion of this little guy being much older than his age. I felt that right away. He's an amazing boy I bet he'll grow up& do something utterly amazing. He survived 4 a reason & he definitely has a huge purpose, it would be really awesome if in 20 years we could get an update on his life. I know, wishful thinking, but its kids like this that truly are amazing & its always truly amazing 2 see what they pursue in life.. Good luck 2 this family &2the awesome friend who clearly helped2save both father&son by taking the brunt of the waves so they didn't have the constant crashing of the waves in their faces which would have severely jeopardized the survival of both father&son. So kudos 2 the friend as well... He's a hero 4 sure..‼️ 🤗🥰🙏‼️👍‼️

That's not true, I don't have kids, but hearing that I was immediately overcame with emotion. I have a brother that's ten years younger than me who looked a little like Julian when he was that age, & he loved to fish. When I was in highschool he was 5 to 7 years old I would pick him up after school & we would fish a few times a week. So when I heard that I teared up just thinking about how much I love my baby brother more than anything in the world, I can relate to the love he has for that child completely!

My sister just had a daughter and since I cant have kids I love her with all my hear shes my world even though shes not my child if anyone bullies her they will deal with me before her parents and when she cries I cry I love her so much

I’m not crying, my eyes are just watering, hard. Ok, I’m crying. 🙃 I’m a 28 year old man and I’m cool with admitting that. I don’t have children of my own yet. But I’m the proud uncle to a beautiful 5 year old Girl. I’ve essentially raised her from birth. We couldn’t be any closer if she was my own daughter. This story hit me right in the fucking feels man. It hurts to even IMAGINE enduring something similar. Same as this awesome dad, I know she would be my sole focus too. Let this be a reminder to not take a day, hour, minute, for granted. Life is TOO short y’all, we’re only here for such a short amount of time. And we’re ALL BLESSED to be given another day. Sure, some are more blessed than others, but at the end of the day if you’re reading this you’re more blessed than SO many that don’t even have access to the internet and don’t forget that. Some people are trying to go to bed right now on an empty stomach, not water, being abused, ect. There’s always somebody that has it worse than you. Do NOT let ANYTHING or ANYBODY prevent you from living your OWN BEST LIFE!!! And if there is than break away from whatever it is as soon as you can. What an absolute nightmare, your sleeping on a boat with your son and friend and wake up to it sinking within minutes. That’s terrifying, I don’t think I’d make it if this happened to me.

Amazing what you would do if it happed to you to stay alive. And fight. Is a natural human thing it kicks In. 6 hrs a lot of things go thru your mind. Lots of different scenario come to mind

And the look on the friend face as he was describing maybe losing the son and dad broke my heart in two.... so much emotion and pain.... bless that man and all three!!!!

His mum is right about everyone falling in love with Julien. He's a treasure! So happy all 3 are alive and well

When Julian talks about the sharks I lost it, how funny and adorable. What a brave little boy! So glad they are okay ❤

The family is so beautiful, the dad is heroic, the son is super brave, the friend shouldn’t be call friend cuz he deserved to be part of their family. The little boy is very sensible, intelligent, & thoughtful, protect him and their family at all cost. They are so precious ✨🙌🏼

I am not a father myself but a very proud uncle and great uncle and as such would like to commend the other guy in this story for reminding us of the human capacity to empathise. It goes without saying that I also give kudos to this amazing father and his equally amazing kid

That boy has truly got to be the bravest, luckiest boy in the world right now, the love between the boy and his dad is strong,and that love is what kept them strong, god bless this family and the friend too!!!

Being a parent is the most beautiful thing you go through in life. Hard, but beautiful. And that best friend is so amazing👏👏👏

Priests nuns are not part of the New Testament they were positions created by Catholicism for power.. it’s not Biblical. Jesus is our High Priest and all believing Christians are the Royal Priesthood

Thank you lord they survive. I’m happy to see the young man smiling while in the interview. I’m so proud to his dad and family’s friend. Indeed they do have a good heart that’s why GOD guide them and help them. Watching here from Philippines.

This is a story to tell. The love a father has for his son, the adorable little fisherman and let us not forget the true friendship the sweet man gives!

The fact that friend survived and helped is amazing. He was probably suffering so much.

I love Julian' smile. He's indeed a joy in life.

The love that Dad has for his son brought me to tears.. that boy is a strong little guy with a attitude without fear, so strong, God is great & miracles still happen!

What a nightmare. I am so happy that it had a happy ending. This is such a powerful video all throughout.
