Filmfare awards are meaningless awards generally given to the highest bidder. It's very unlikely that a true artist will win a filmfare award based ones diligence. In the 70,s songs such as Nafrat Ki Duniya which even Kishore couldn't sing were not even nominated let alone win. There are songs of Mohd Rafi which were not even considered for nominations. Songs films such as Heer Ranjha, Khilona, Aap aaye Bahaar Aayi, Mehboob Ki Mehnd, Yaadon Ki Baraat, Pratigya, Laila Majnu, Amar Akhbar Anthony, Dharam Veer, Jaani Dushman, Sargam, Suhag, were way ahead of their contenders yet never even considered.

He was only the singer who could sing the same song both in male and female voice.... Male or female, new or old .... Rafi sahab commands the highest position amongst all singers. If any singers deserve a comparison with Rafi sahab, they are Sahgal sahab and Lata ji. They can at least be compared with Rafi the Greatest. Others (legends they may be) can not even be compared with Rafi sahab's stature as a singer. 🥰🙏🥰

Kishore was a distant 5th or 6th in the list. However,Aradhana, released in 1969,changed the whole equation. By 1971,Kishore Kumar, managed eclipse all his contemporaries including the redouble rafi. Lean_patch of Rafi Saab continues till 1976. He made a comeback in 1977 through Laila majnu and got some of the lost ground for the rest of his live. He is referred to as the god of singing,and it is foolish on the part anyone to compare him any other singer.
