Hardcore community uses grim ward for wave 3 in Baal runs. Cast post wave 2, and when wave 3 spawns more often than not you'll get no hydras. This cuts down on Baal run times. Nice to see new features added in parts. Excited to synergize in party play and find new tactics with damage upticks. Should work additional wonders for trav runs, temple hopping in act 3, viper temple, and other small enclosed areas

you should do a mini series on every rune or every rune type (low, mid, high) and discuss where to find, whats its good for, what runewords it builds into, etc. love your videos btw great for watching while on lunch breaks at work lol

I feel like this is a good skill for throw barb - keep enemies away from you, get dmg boost and they are slowed down.

Yes i used it for my playthrough with thrower.

Singer barb with this is absolutely amazing so far - for a relatively low investment it's providing so much safety and speed in my hardcore hell Trav runs - with 1 pt and two HOTOs/HOTO&Spirit it has a great range, and was planning to put my next 5 points from 90-95 into Find potion to increase my team play chops. Think I might respec though, and shift 5-7 pts over to Find Potion - the bonus damage for my merc could end up far outweighing my piddly lil damage from war cry. . . 🤔

Like your channel a lot. I wish you great success. You'll probably pick up a lot more once ladder comes out

Grim Ward is Decrepify on Steroids, but I think it will be most useful in group play, where 3 or so people get together to farm areas. The monsters fleeing isn't an issue since they barely move and then hang out at the edge of the grim ward. There could be a place for it for solo play, but classes like necro and amazon would really value having a barb around to BO and GW. Should make for a very popular skill for baalrun moochers/hoarkers.

Could you do a video about jewels? I have no idea what's trash and what's worth keeping

The most sought after modifiers are things like 15% ias, +15 all resistances +40% enhanced Damage, +min and +max damage. The key however is finding ones that have two sought after effects those are worth the most. For instance A 15% ias +15 all res jewel or a 15% +40 ED are worth a ton. Lower level jewels 30 and below can be exceptionally valuable for there low level dueling stats.

Correct me if I'm wrong buddy but would the barb weapon that gives the barb +4 find item etc, would that actually work with this build?

I've honestly never used this skill once and I do enjoy playing barb. I think it would be better if it didn't make the monsters run away, but increased damage and slowed enemy still.

It's pretty fun tbh, it's not just a bit causes monster to flee. It clears the area completely and keeps it clear for the entire duration

Unfortunately since terror counts as a curse it will overwrite amp damage which I think is how it was intended

Use the lacerations for bosses on swap, use the unique throwing knives with grim ward.

Does the increased damaged taken synergy from Find Potion apply to super uniques and bosses even if the terror effect doesn't? You mention you assume it does at 9:20 but I'm wondering if anyone has actually tested this in the field.

Can i ask i dont clearly understand this grimward. What is enemy damage taken 20% in grimward stats? That mean i have 20% more damage? Or the enemies give me 20% damage more so i am weaker???

The physical resistance of the monster is reduced. Simple as that

Unfortunately because grim Ward applies the terror curse to make the monsters run away I do not believe amp and terror can be on the target at the same time

Good question, I believe so because find item is effected by fcr and they are similar skills

Corpse explosion is better from Bonehew.

Many barb skills need rework. Those were good before runewords came to game. Nowadays they lack something substantial. This one should make you chances of hit monster substantially up too. Idk where blizzard take their synergies ideas 🤯 this one should synergies with let say battle cry.

I have to ask. I'm thinking about starting a barb, and was lightly pondering the idea of going whirlwind. Everyone I see talking about it swears on it. But, in every video I see of people using it, including you, it's like a 30+ second slap fest whirling around one pack of mobs not killing anything. And I know your characters are always incredibly overbuilt so how the hell does anyone use that as an early build? It genuinely looks like it does nothing.

You should check out my whirlwind video, I talk about why that happens. It is a range issue not a damage issue. Generally longer range weapons have an issue because the damage spreads out too much among all the monsters. Lower ranged weapons like daggers focus that damage better on each target. The damage could be exactly the same, but in general you will notice short ranged weapons kill faster and more efficiently. One of the reasons I love using Fleshripper fanged knives on my barbarian.

@@GGMentor yes after writing my original comment I decided to watch the actual video on the skill. Had no idea it worked like that. But even with that knowledge, even with the fleshrippers, it still is a lacklustre ability. When you consider all the other abilities in the game that can wipe entire hoardes of mobs in unison, like pretty much anything sorc, any of the druid spells, necros that overwhelm either with armies or things like aoe poison or corpse explosion, lightning Amazon's, etc.. looking at the barb whirlwind is kind of a joke. That type of ability doesn't work that way in other games. Damage ticks may be based on attack speed or some other stat but they aren't limited to a certain number of ticks per second or per cast or whatever. So if you can somehow manage to get 500 mobs into its aoe, it's going to tick 500 times per whatever duration and damage all of em. Which is how it should work imo. So with that considered, what's the barbs best actual aoe skill?
