This is the 1982 large date penny. This coin belongs to the transitional variety that weights 2.5 grams. If it is the small date variety that weights 3.11 grams that can have some significant value. The 1982 small date its number 2 is a little bit curver and not sharper. If it is 1982D small date that is worth more than its face value.

@robertdeluco6860 there are 7 variations of 1982 penny. 4 from phidelphia mint and 3 from Denver mint The one mistake penny is 1982 d copper with small date. The 2 is totally different then large date 2.

This is a 1982 large date. It is worth nothing and the channel just farmed us for clicks, so downvote and keep ad sense up. However I'll spill the beans. The penny you are looking for is a 1982 Denver Thin date. The WE and 1982 must be thin stamped vs other 1982 pennies. The Penny must also weigh 3.1-3.12 grams. The weight is important as 1982 was a transitional year for the mint as it moved off copper planchets to Zinc-Copper alloy pennies that are 92% zinc. The rarest one of them all is the 3.1 gram Bronze variant. That Penny depending on grading can fetch between 8500 (mint state 58) to 25,000 (mint state 62) USD. The other rare transitional penny that's worth roughly 120,000 USD with the low end being 85,000 USD is the 1988 Denver Copper Penny.
