Amazing house song! Never saw this video but it truly captures the early house scene of the 1990s. Cathy should make a comeback soon. "Move to This" is one of my 10 must have albums of the 1990s.

I remember I first heard this when the Fly Girls danced to it on "In Living Color" in 1990. Good song!

I hear this now, and I realize that the piano riff that runs throughout this track could seriously be a MAW or Red Zone track from back in the day. We were so spoiled from hearing SO much good music back in the day, we didn't even know to appreciate that it was good and propper that a straight-up NYC house track--produced by some guys from England or wherever--could become a major crossover hit on R&B radio, and also on the pop stations. Crazy. This is a very well-produced track, IMO. And Cathy KILLS it. Xo

I have fond memories of this song. I remember when I first heard it when I was driving home with my dad from college after the completion of my junior year in May 1990. This was such a great song and Cathy Dennis had some great songs. I love her music. I miss the late 1980's and the early 1990's. They were spectacular. I cannot believe that almost 25 years has passed.

You and me both. I turned 19 the year that this was released, and I started dressing in street styles because I wanted to look like her. I unfortunately lack the red hair though. The early 90s were such a great era, and I'd love to live those memories again.

I only discovered this today on Hitmix fm uk .. what a tune .. Kathy Dennis smashes this ..such a rare talent not only a great singer but producer, writer and also wrote songs for many stars .. brings back so many memories. Time has caught us all up now .. 35 yrs later, and still this sounds fresh ❤ xx

It's 2024, and I was feeling nostalgic and started listening D-Mob's full album ("A little bit of this, a little bit of that"). I loved this collab with Cathy Dennis so much... but as I was listening the song now, I was like "I know that piano riff!" LOL - Ace of Base used it in their song "Waiting for Magic". No wonder how I love that song too. And now I understand the reason. Thank you Dancin' Danny Dee for "Waiting for Magic". :D

Also, this isn't really House but R&B (Rhythm and Beats).. Could be labelled under House as well since a 808 was used for the synths and drum machine, but R&B was the original goal the track was heading for while releasing it..
