When you got it, was it instant? Or did you start to hear it kinda and then hone it in? I’m trying to get every possible detail because I’m on month 2 and still farty.

I don't think he will teach us his special sounds just saying... because that's what makes him unique. Other then that thank you for the tutorial I already knew how to do the liproll but I didn't know much of its history.

HOOLY SHIT! I can do it now! I watched the Tutorial and did it a whole 10 Minutes through and now it sounds like a Lip roll. I think i have to practice more to sound better but THANK YOU for the Tutotial. I was impressed by myself as i heard the Lip Roll sound :D

I wanted to learn to lip roll to ompress my son he loves beat box and your right at the top of the list. This tutorial is helping out loads i will get it im determined now. Bro ! Your Lip Roll tutorial helped me but still I'm not so good on doing that stuff it is bit tough step to do. But honestly you are a brilliant Beat Boxer and soon you will be the World No. 1 Beat Boxer Men! Please give some other steps for beat boxing it will help me a lot and others too.

DUDE I’ve been following beatbox for about 3 years now I’ve watched almost every video you can find on beatboxing, and I swear to god, after blazing up and watching this video I finally made my first semi-lip roll noise. It isn’t perfect but it’s better than anything I’ve done before. I’m so psyched this video helped so much. D-Low recommended putting your tongue near the opening at the side of your lips (This helped me figure it out back when I was still learning it) It helps to get the vibrations with less effort, and later you can start drawing your tongue back to get more bass.

Bro thank you I’ve watched so many of the lip roll tutorials on KZread but yours is the first one I found that explains the position your tongue needs to be in. plus more info and detail of the lip position. Syth 😂 That’s just the way his liprolls go. Codfish and Napom are the same. The side of their lips tend to make bigger flaps than normal, possibly due to their extensive use in it or it’s genetics. My liprolls produces that same sound as D-Lows but it doesn’t flap as much, so the flapping effect is not that important. Take Beatness for example, he has one of the cleanest liproll basses but his lip flaps are less noticeable

This was literally an insane tutorial, I was the same as you. I learnt the lung-inhale variation of the lip roll at first and ive found a very hard time learning the basic one with just the mouth inhale. Im not even joking that by the end of this tutorial I learned the other variation of it. Big ups to you dlow!

Got my first liproll yesterday, thanks mainly to the way you explain the lip positioning. Other tutorials approach it differently, and even if they provide important information and nice advice as well (hello TylaDubya, RubikBBX), your point of view helped me a lot so thank you! Took me only a week (and I'm a complete newbie in beatboxing); it's quite addictive when you start getting the sound! I'm rediscovering my muscles though haha

Yea, I can do it either, but I can't do a inward lip roll on side. AND, I dunno why, I CAN do outward lip roll on side, but not inward. I'm so frustrated, because I'm watching every single lip roll tutorial on KZread, but it doesn't really help. Do you have any advice, how to do inward on sides?

Mystic Griefing it took me half a year because of how much of a lazy ass I was and I basically kept on giving up until I watched Rubiks tutorial. I ended up getting it in just a couple minutes after that

Me too ... but after 2 years i finally got it! My lip type cannot copy these lip positions, so i had to create my own lip postion and shape and i finally got it, both sub bass and basic liproll. Keep up!

duuuuuude I think i figured it out I had the same problem that you did(and still do) but I found out the reason why is because I have small thin lips whenever i tried to do something, it would sound like a fart try the inward lip bass first use your finger to stretch your lip roll side If you use enough power, you can manage to make some oscillating effect on your llips. stretch it a little horizontally so it's a little longer.
