NOTE: You do not need a embroidery hoop to shred. I just feel like the shredding is easier and more uniform this way. Gluck!
Have fun taking out your anger on this shirt!
Forever 21 has tons of cheap basics to play with. But if you want you can thrift your shirts too!

I been looking for this for at least 8 years! One woman knew how to do it and refused to share the technique! Something inspired me to look today. Thank you!

She seems a little unpleasant, but if it’s for her business I could understand. If it’s just a hobby, then I think it’s almost a duty to share and pass on technique. Well anyways-I’m glad you found the video and I hope you will show others how to do it!

  • @billkaulitzluvagirl

@lifeisbeautiful238 No because with a knit there's only one strand going back and forth but with jeans there's 2 strands going in different directions. In the case of jeans you'd have to first pull out the vertical threads.

Hello, Great video but I just cannot figure it out. See at 1:02, you have ends of threads just coming out, then all the sudden it skips to where you're pulling the horizontal threads out and they're not breaking. But I can't figure out how to get from one to the other. I cut the fabric across, and then I start trying to pull out tiny threads, and they are just ALL ENDS. Nothing but ends coming out and just totally unravelling the whole time no matter what I do. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

@akissy You can but you can't use this method. You'd be pulling at threads forever that are never gonna come out. You have to do it by cutting slits and pulling the vertical threads out. Not by grabbing the horizontal thread and keep unraveling it.

Hey BioNerd, i love your shredded shirt. but i had to questions. you know how you cut a line into the shirt, is it supposed to turn into a hole essentially after youre done shredding? also, do you do the same thing to shred in the middle of the shirt? thanks so much! keep doing what you do. love it :)
