Hi there Alan 🖐️ I think they fit perfectly to that HB. The best sound I've heard in your videos untill now together with the Martin Retro. They sound clear and have a long sustain. Silk&steel strings have a great limitation. The gauge is mainly 0.11 - 0.47. So, if you want more volume check the catalogue of brands like GHS (silk&bronze) or even better La Bella (silk&steel) and take the 0.12 gauge.

Which would you say have less sliding finger noise, martin's or daddario's? I just recently put on the martin's and find the string noise to be a little too high. Is it just because of them being uncoated?

Hi Satyam, Yes, coated strings have less "string screech" finger slide noise than uncoated strings

Been playing them for over 40 years (either one) and it is the Ten Most Important Parts of guitar tone that are lacking. It is not the strings.

I use these strings. Really dull on basses. Very good for delta blues and folk music.

Yes, I found the bottom E very dull compared to the Martin Silk and Steel strings
