Łódź is the fourth biggest city in Poland (after Warsaw, Cracow and Wrocław) and the capital of Łódź Voivodeship, even though its population is still decreasing, nowadays it stays around 658 440.
Łódź is located in the middle of Poland, and it's mostly based around soviet-era infrastructure, however it has got some impressive modern city center and beautiful worth visiting Old Town. There is no super high skyscrapers in Łódź, but the highest - "Hi Piotrkowska" still got impressive height of 84m, and there are other tall buildings located densely in the downtown. Also the worth mentioning fact is that Łódź is a center of much bigger agglomeration which reaches over a 1 100 000 of total population, it includes other minor cities around like Pabianice or Zgierz.
