Cziffra loved the Yamaha piano. She took her everywhere with her.

This is one of the rare handmade Yamaha pianos. They have a good action, and in my view, can match a Steinway - different but good.

Adrian Burhala you're forgetting Liszt and Glenn Gould. Both trump cziffra and argerich any day.

Quelle classe!
Cziffra is the best not only in Liszt, but also in Chopin, there is no doubt.

dias.piano Well while your comment is true it is essentially the same for all pianists. No human ever will reproduce exactly what the other pianist did.

No, I think it's more kind of mix of happyness and shyness...
Cziffra had lol :) And 20 years after is still surprising.
Mr. Cziffra was truly the master! Is it crazy to compare him to Liszt ??
このピアノ職人技が大好き。札幌のラーメン富公のような忘れられない味がある。わざとらしい甘さとかなく多分リストもこんな演奏してたと思います。
Perfection.

cziffra le talent à l'état pur : un des trois meilleurs avec Horowitz et Richter
Bravo

Piano virtuoso!!
- csodás !
Actually, its a slight variation of Chopin, although he never officially transcribed it, he would play that same passage but one octave higher and descend down two. But this and Katsaris' interpretation are probably the best!

A unique interpretation, albeit a tad bit similar to Rubinstein. Playing with less sustain makes the notes stand out much clearer, and the improvisation during the middle part is just mesmerising.

different companies have different models. I have a seven foot kawai that is light. And my teachers concert yamaha is the lightest piano that I have ever played.
