Hello John - So beautiful! Did you buy it in tree-form? I'm probably going to get one in shrub form but wonder if it takes well to pruning? I'm not bothered about how tall it may get but would like to keep it somewhat narrow? It that possible without compromising the blooms?

Hi Cathie. Thanks for the nice comment. We bought it as a small tree a few years ago, not much smaller than in the video. I noticed that some of the branches were getting long horizontally and bowing too much and I think one even cracked. So yes I did cut some of the branches and I think it is a good idea to do this when the tree is still young and the branches are still thin. We had no negative effect from doing this. It’s now early May almost a year since my video and I can see early stage signs of this years flowers beginning to form. It’s a great reliable tree so far.
