Having a visual process of a companies QA is huge ! Thats one of the main reasons I went with Oregon Fuel Injection for my new vp44. They weren't the first to come up on an internet search, but i found videos on KZread, showing their process. Also when I called they were super knowledgeable.

Keiners and my opinion should be rolled into the scrappy. Yes, they last a long time they’re easy to install but they’re very hard material and they’re very hard on the valve stems. I knew a guy in Seattle Victor valseky he was extremely good at what he did and he said Keiners are very very hard on valve stems case in point I had my head rebuilt by a guy down by Newcastle PA. He’s a good dude does very good work I distinctly told him do not use liners in my 5.9 Cummins head, what do you do use liners in approximately six months eight months maybe I’m noticing when I first start my truck up huge amount of smoke OK come to find out there a few months later I had to do a head gasket job my valves were shot they were ruined only after about 15,000 miles liners are no good I like a bronze guide there was a guide Victor used to use. I don’t remember the brand name but they were made of centered iron and they had a worm groove going down into the inside of the guide. It stopped about a quarter inch from the end of the guide. They were very good on valve stems and they did very good oil. Control liners are junk. This is six in a row.Jim from Kennerdell Pennsylvania oh, by the way, when it comes down to cylinder head ping Victor was arguably one of the best similar headquarters you could ever find. He won at least two national championships in his 55 Chevy. He was extremely good.

I’m rebuilding a 00’ 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel engine, top to bottom. As for the Heads, I’m currently focused on the drive train components and finding the best combination of weight reduction, maintaining or increasing strength and increasing heat resistance. So far, I’m finding Titanium components seem to surface to have superior characteristics and have the best combination of advantages. Any recommendations? Also, I’m going to enlarge the valves to increase as much flow as possible, I have mildly ported the exhaust ports, the machine shop are handling the intake ports and the measurements to let me know what the final valve specs will be. I want better heat transfer, more air, and as much weight reduction in the valve train as possible without sacrificing strength. Any suggestions will be appreciated and cost will take a back seat to benefits. TIA

@@TheDieselPodcast maybe looking at the reliability of the DPF and if there are things in the aftermarket to improve DPF life/decrease Regen frequency. I'm really enjoying the content you are putting out!

I hate it when the guest treats this podcast like a 45 minute ad for their company instead of actually teaching listeners about the products they sell and how they make our trucks better. Seriously, how many times do we need to hear about their blue and yellow box?
