March 2022 and this is still a helpful video as I am getting ready to install and rehab an older rack that the previous owners have not cared for very well. Thank you!
Thanks for this video! I made use of your tips to do the same transformation of my MDA to an X390 48" Accel Deep deck. I used hand tools to minimize the possibility of removing too much material and get the best fit. Due to numerous configurations at the discharge of the JD decks and changes to the MDA design/attachment plates, I did need to buy the new model plate to eliminate drilling into the deck to use the old one. Dense foam swimming noodle material is really good for filling any gaps.
You did a fantastic job modifying your equipment! You did an even better job demonstrating all the hard and easy parts of the process. Ty!
It’s amazing how well those things work
Seems like a lot of work to use this thing. I also have a X590. I am just using a sweeper with mine. It pivots on the hole in the plate on the tractor, and I don't have any issues with it swinging wide when turning. I also don't have to get off the tractor to dump my load. It has a pull string to dump. No motor, no gas and no extra noise with it. It does a great job for me. My sweeper also has a dethatcher on it. This thing really make keeping up with the yard easy. Love this new model JD.
You did a good job explaining everything, thank u!
Great video!! I'm looking to get the CR Commercial Pro soon and your video answered a lot of my questions I had, thanks!
Very informative video . You show just about everything that one needs . Thanks so much .
THANK YOU for the very informative video!! I will be purchasing one soon!! 👍😃
That's an awesome tractor. I use a GT235 and a 44 bushel trac vac. Seems easier to hook up than that, but that cyclone is a major space saver. My trac vac takes up a ton of room and it's nowhere near as maneuverable as that. Awesome video. Good luck with that 590
From experience those will s snap over time . That is why I used 5/8 th hillman bolts you will never have a problem . Great video 👍🏻 I used my John Deere L -120 for many years with the same model cyclone rake you have .
that thing is just cute how it follows the mower
I guess the Cyclone rake is a good product but..... I made my own leaf collection system out of my little dump trailer, by putting sides an a "breathable" top on it. Bought a piece of flexible Hose ( the most expensive part ! ) to go from my bagger deck pipe to the trailer. Wish I had taken pictures of it to show. Worked like a CHAMP !! Whole thing cost me about $150. Just trying to give a few "do it yourselfer" people an idea. I made it with a door on the back to be able to dump the debris from the yard. I couldn't always blow wet leaves obviously, but that never posed a problem for me, I worked when it was dry. The high lift blades that came stock on my Craftsman 24hp 48"cut did the job beautifully, and when I tell you I had leaves, I HAD LEAVES. I lived at the base of a Mountain in Ct. I know the Cyclone Rake is a little pricey and I'm a cheap sucker with a few good ideas !! LOL ! I hope this can help someone out. I actually tried to patent my little invention through Davidson, they tried to steal my idea so I said forget it. I gave my unit to my neighbor when I left Ct. I enjoyed using it so much I did 3 peoples yards. He STILL loves it !!
Excellent and thorough video.
I've had my Cyclone 20 years or so, Just dang near wore it out , New bag few years ago and new engine this year(2019). Cyclone Service department has been really good , I do think they could of done me better on the new motor. I have mine hooked up to a JD 455 , I say Your 590 will do a great job with it.
