Good video, but starts with misleading information. The oldest known cyclekart precedes Stevenson formula cyclekarts by at least 20 years. It was built in Argentina, still exists, and still runs regularly at the Argentina cyclekart events. It is currently (2021) owned by a gentleman called Matias de Urquiza, and the cyclekart was built by his father. There is plenty of photographic proof of its age. This relic was not originally called a "cyclekart" as the term did not exist in 1970. It was not built following Stevenson formula specs as, ...well..., they did not exist, and probably wouldn't have been, even if they did. Cyclekarts in Argentina do not follow Stevenson specs. They have their own, and are a lot less restrictive. They are still, clearly cyclekarts. In fact most cyclekarts currently in existence in the USA and around the world were built outside Stevenson specs in one or multiple ways. Here is a link to a video that shows Matias de Urquiza's 1970 cyclekart as well as a Bloody Mary cyclekart which he built himself more recently. Thanks and you're kind to call it "mis-leading". Sounds like its just wrong! Would be great to find out more and to make a correct video.

This is a world of magic; blokes out in their sheds building things with skill, imagination, and love. The COVID lockdown has been a boon to the shed-people. I'm on the tail-end of building a tiny plywood caravan in tradition methods with calico covering. All the best from my Australian shed to all the sheds throughout the world.
