When I bought this I was not aware that the swivel feature only works in the rear facing position. So that only lasted about 14 months and now it’s back to a regular car seat that wobbles more than others. I would not recommend this car seat to others.

Awesome glad to hear, you'll love it, I would say to install it on the passenger side on the 3 if you're tall otherwise you won't have great leg room

Thanks for posting this! My husband and I couldn’t get the load leg to stay put. The indicators both say green but it’s still wobbly. Anything else we need to do?

It's tough to say without looking at it... I think most local Police stations or Fire Departments will help with it too if you're having trouble!!

Were you able to connect the SensorSafe receiver to a OBD2 port? Does the Tesla have one? I have a Tesla Model S and just got the Cybex Sirona S and am trying to find the port.

Hi guys! Thank you for the review on the seat. When the time comes for your son to be forward facing, do you think the low leg will get in the way of his comfort. That’s my hesitation on by it

@@FamilytaleVlogs yo try to see if the company will on credit your account for the first one sometimes they do that if you bought it within 14 days or so they may honor 20% or so try it it don't hurt

Hiding candy in vegetables bags would never work with my kids. My son would be mad that the broccoli was empty 😂.

thanks for sharing info about this car seat, i am looking for a convertible car seat for my child and there are so many brands out there...it can be tricky to choose. I like the safety features of the cybex car seat, can you tell me if it's easy to install? im not good at installing car seats so wondering if it would be a big challenge. Another thing you mentioned that you cannot put it in another car? would it have to stay in one car at all times? i was hoping to switch it to my husband's car as well. thanks

Thanks Jen! The seat is all one unit so unfortunately you would have to take the whole thing in/out between two cars or buy two of them. We ended up buying two of them... The install was pretty easy, nothing too special there - just do the seatbelt install right from the get go would be my advice. It's a super convenient carseat to have though, the rotation feature is amazing!

Once your child is forward facing, the proper installation (with the tether), eliminates the swivel feature. Just bought this for my toddler and was pretty irritated to find out that the swivel won’t work for his configuration. HEADS UP!

@@FamilytaleVlogsit’ll still work if you choose to swivel forward facing because the load leg is used for the replacement of the tether. It’s optional for this car seat. I called customer service and that what they told me. Also the Manuel says it’s recommended to use the tether but not required. It’ll still be super safe without the tether because again if has a load leg while other car seat don’t which makes it crucial to use the tether on those car seats.

Not sure if you will even see this but I’m just confused why you can’t take it out bc it’s supposed to compatible with the cybex strollers? My baby is due oct and now I’m having second thoughts about this car seat

It’s so big, I can’t imagine it fitting in a stroller or being easy to take in and out! I’d definitely do some more research before getting it!

Convertible car seats are always a more permanent install and don't have a base, but are one solid unit. This is always a consideration when deciding between an infant car seat and a convertible car seat. I wish they would've explained that it's not exclusive to just this convertible seat. Infant car seats are great as they can stay asleep as you click the car seat from the car into the stroller and such. It depends on your lifestyle. Some babywear constantly, so they don't care about the infant seat. I will add that I don't like this for an infant under 4 months. The load position isn't ideal for a baby without neck control. Their head will flop forward only when buckling them in. Once you rotate it, it's fine. Mine is too heavy for the infant seat, so I'm using this convertible car seat now.

This video sold me on purchasing the same car seat. My little girl will be here at the end of August and I was thinking, since the car seat does not come out of the car, what do you use to transport Louie to and from the Cybex to let’s say the grocery store or wherever it is you’re going?

We used an infant car seat until about 6 months! Then would carry him to and from the car in our arms once we got this car seat 😊

2:56 light in hall light flickered and the others didn’t. Your wiring for the light needs to be checked, just Incase

I hate to comment on a old video, BUT on the off chance you guys see this lol 😂 question? Has your cybex started scratching itself? We have the exact same one, and I’ve noticed the main car seat portion has started scratching the “base” when we spin it. I don’t know anyone else with the same one, so figured I would ask if anyone else is having this problem or not.

I think I noticed that a little bit as well! I think it might be from other things getting caught under there (one time he dropped a graham cracker, etc)... I'll give it a closer look later today!

It fits pretty well in either Tesla but Max is 6’2 and if sitting in the passenger seat (in front of the car seat), he is pretty crammed! Not sure if it’s car seat specific though

Unfortunately it's all one unit so you can't just put a base in both cars and move it between two cars. We ended up buying two of the Cybex Sirona S (I can't recall if we mentioned that in this vlog)

It’s pretty common to get a cheaper seat for the car the baby spends less time in. All car seats sold in the US pass the same safety tests whether it’s a 50 dollar seat or a 500 dollar seat. Save yourself some money if you want and get a cheaper seat for the other car.

True, in my car we have the Nuva rava which was like $450, my husband has the britax something in his car which was around $300 and then in a Car we rarely drive we have my daughters older diono radian rtx which was $275 I think? We got it as a baby shower gift

I highly-highly doubt a 50 doll baby car seat can offer good protection... Here in EU we have a good amount of car seats that fail the crash tests, also there can be harmful emissions from the materials used in the car seat.

Did the cup holder come with it? You’re the first I’m seeing with the cup holder.

Abby & Finn diapers are great for leaks, from personal experience with 2 boys lol

Yes, Cybex is from Europe (Germany) , and here we have special Test centers that give "grading" on how well a car seat performed in a car crash (the German ADAC or the Swedish Plus Test e.g.) The good car seats tend to be expensive (starting 350 euros) but almost everyone will try and get a proper one because child safety on the road is taken very seriously. Also our latest regulations stand for Isofix(LATCH) installation only and seat usage by length of the child not weight, the so called iSize regulation.

Not worth the extremely ridiculous price. Once you forward face the car seat, it no longer swivels.

The anchors are overrated anyways. I’ve always gotten a better install with the seat belt.

Me too and actually a lot of the newer car seats have a click tight system which makes it even easier to install it with the car seatbelt

I’m the person (or one of the ppl) that told you about that coupon!! It’s awesome, right?!? If you look at the fine print, it says it doesn’t work for Cybex products, but I guess this car seat is so new, they haven’t added it to the ineligible products yet? Idk. Either way, it’s awesome!
