This was another great one (that Michelle also recommends). The only reason I left it out was I never used it in-person or experimented with it at a trade show so I couldn't definitively suggest it, but thank you for confirming that it's a solid buy.

I have the Graco Turn2Me and the Evenflo360 OG- they now have the extend and slim. If they had had a slim when I was shopping I might have gone with that, just because I know we want to grow our family. I prefer the Evenflo 360. 1. It turns 360 vs 180 on the Graco. I haven't moved to forward facing yet, but I have a feeling I am going to miss that rotation. 2. My daughter seems more comfortable in the Evenflo, she is tall for her age and long torso. Both fit ok. She just fusses less. 3. The Evenflo base, I can't remember if they market it as a rebound type, but it seems that way. Regardless it makes a GREAT spot for their feet to rest and protect your vehicle seat a little from their shoes. In the Graco there isn't that and we have cloth seats, as I rotate her her feet snag on the vehicle seat fabric and I have to be more careful to help her with her feet as I rotate so I don't hurt her. With the Evenflo that is much less of an issue. I will say it is easier to get the cloth off to clean from the Graco than the Evenflo. The turning mechanism in both are fine. No sticking issues for me with either, and we have had them for a year or so now. Both really easy to use. Install I feel was fairly easy on both/comparable. You do use a tether in rear facing for the Evenflo.

@rachelb4812 I am not sure about the buckle. But I feel the crotch buckle is a little snug for her for most things, strollers too. She is a big kid for her age. Something I probably need to look at more, I am not as up on the safety standards/requirements for that.

We have the evenflo 360 and my only issue is when we use it facing forward, because the seat is very curved, our kid sits very upright and this causes their head to go forward when sleeping, even with light braking. Do you know if this is the same issue with the seats you mentioned on here?

All Graco car seats apparently have flame retardant chemicals, which have been linked to various health issues. Most other brands phased that out a long time ago

In many cases is the base that rotates, not the seat itself. So the Cybex base is the part that rotates and the infant seat is more or less a normal infant car seat.

There are very few rear facing isofix rotating car seats that have passed the German and Swedish enhanced tests. The Joie spin safe is one, so I went for that.

I own both and am happy with both As mentioned above, RAVA doesn’t rotate but a solid car seat. Super comfortable for the baby and feels super safe. REVV, small weight limit but really great rotating car seat. If you have a smaller child, REVV weight limit might be a nonissue Both install wise are super easy and feels very secure. Super user friendly.

Thoughts on all the safety concerns and random horry story's of them breaking in crashes? I know they are crash rated like all seats are they just kinda freak me out? Also when you mention limits on seats don't forget hight limits, my kid never out weighed his baby seat but he out grew it, I never even thought they had hieght limits haha

  • @kbwaterbug29

I believe what you are talking about are from crashes where the seat wasn't locked either forward or rear facing. In a crash they can eject from the base and cause an issue but as long as they are locked they are completely safe.
