A stock kia sorento can do this. Literally. Kia engineers did. The only modification that was done was sway disconnect, A/T tires (they come with all seasons from the factory for the soccer moms), and a skid plate (to protect the oil pan). I would be very worried if it couldn't make it up since it essentially has lockers on demand on the front and rear.

What is funny is there’s so many roads in the American infrastructure that we actually don’t need to off-road other than having fun. Now, if you were in Central America or other places without much structure than offloading is part of getting into your destination. Has built smooth durable anywhere, but a fraction of a percent any required destination. it’s reasonable to find out how it does and snowy conditions. Pick up trucks can be some of the worst vehicles to drive in ice and snow. it would be nice to see you the technology for these conditions.

Now if you could fix the steering failures, give it mechanical backup steering, make it look like the prototype again, beef up the paper thin upper control arms, give it good looking rims again, and make stainless steel that doesn't rust or at least wash it before you deliver it, and drop the price to at least reasonably near the reservation price, that would be great. Oh yeah, and actually test them before you launch them and deliver them with features that are done and you can actually turn on. I'm sure I missed a few things.

If this were true it would be able to articulate better than a skateboard. That rigidity with zero wheel travel that the video demonstrates will fail on a lot of terrain. Real offroad vehicles can keep their wheels on the ground over uneven terrain. This is the fault of the air suspension set on max height. It reduces wheel travel to near zero.

@@aravindradhakrishna8660 It looks effortless because it is. The trick is that they likely hired a professional driver and/or practiced a lot. Electric cars have a lot of torque and it's independent of rpm, plus they have very low center of mass due to the battery, so they are excellent at climbing. The only issue the CT had so far was the disabled lockers, as soon as one wheel lost traction, it got stuck. This video likely means that the lockers are finally available. Also, I haven't seen a proper off-road test by anyone who knows how to drive off-road. There were a few tests by pros, but they haven't posted any videos, just short clips.
