Couldn't write a review for this on Ko-Fi, so will do it here: A nicely detailed environment with great nods and Easter eggs to the world of Cyberpunk and Sci-Fi. Love the atmosphere! Works great on Quest 3, for those wondering. Happily paid for this custom environment. Looking forward to more. ______ Just as a sidenote: To get the greatest bump in resolution (and this accounts for nearly every Quest 2/3 app or environment), you should try the Quest Game Optimizer. Game changer, literally.

Thanks for the support! glad you like it. I don't actually have a Quest 3 myself so all of the textures I used apart from the city background, were at 2k res as I was worried about performance issues on the Quest 2. With larger textures it took longer to load up and I didn't notice a huge improvement with detail as the Q2 it's quite blurry anyway. I was thinking about adding a version with 4k textures that the Quest 3 should be able to handle better and the improved detail might be more noticeable. If you were up for testing it I can send you over a version once I've updated it. If it works well then I can send it out to the other people that bought it for a little bit of a bump in details if they have the Quest 3.

Of course, would be happy to test it. I will switch between the two versions, if they don't overwrite each other, so I can directly compare

@@dennisbacchus1225 Ok that's great thanks. As soon as I've put one together I'll let you know. I can just rename it something different so it won't overwrite.

I've put together a version with upgraded textures if you're still up for testing it out. I've basically switched out a lot of the textures from 2k to 4k. In some areas you might not notice much of a difference but other areas should be clearer. On the Q2 it runs fine and I didn't notice any problems with doing other stuff with it on but it does take a bit longer to load, plus it's obviously using more resources so it might make the Quest work a bit harder. As I said for me the increase in resources needed doesn't really justify the slight increase in clarity on the Q2, especially as it's just in the background most of the time but I would be interested on how it looks and handles on the Q3, especially with the QGO active. I've renamed the fiiles with a Q3 prefix so it won't interfere with the versions you already have installed. I presume you have the same name on Kofi? If so I think I should be able to send you the files as an attachment on there.

Thanks! I have a free version on Sidequest you can download. It's basically just the rootop and the city background without any of the extra props and rain. There's a link to the full verson on my Kofi page in the description. I'd recommended trying the free version first though to see if you like it. I'm planning on making more homes probably mostly based around cyberpunk and sci-fi. I'm working on an Alien Nostromo style home at the moment.

Is the rain only in the paid version? What else is in the paid version compared to the environment you put on Sidequest?

Mostly props, so a coupe of seats, a small table with a ghetto blaster, coffee cup and candle, a couple of plants, the car, the rain, rain sound FX, some distant lights moving in the background of the city and some moths flying around a light. If you just want a darker background the free one is still good though, you don't really need the extra stuff. The paid one I think just has a bit more atmosphere with the extra models and rain effects. Plus I'm planning on making more homes and it helps support me a bit as they take quite a long time to make. If you do buy the full one make sure you have a PC or access to one as you need it to be able to load the Custom Home APK onto the Quest.
