Agreed a city of the same size as Night City but with more explorable interiors to make it truly open world would be insane.

At this point, Cyberpunk has a more solid fanbase than Witcher, especially after netflix screwed up the live action series

@taha7538 though not 100% accurate and fair as witcher3 is an older game, steamchart statistics does show what's still being played and what not. And we hardly hear people talking about witcher when the Netflix show wasn't trending

I enjoyed the show but hated that Henry Cavill didn't want to do season 3 .That is why I think season 3 will be boring because they changed the main character of the story

Wouldn’t want any multiplayer outside of drop in/out co-op. CDPR is all about world building and story telling and should stick to it. Hope they don’t try to force PvP or something into this. I don’t want a single player elements to become useless if it’s somehow op in PvP.

I could see Multiplayer being good for roleplaying purposes, PvP would kind of be uninteresting to me because it inevitably evolves into who's build is "best", which isn't normally that interesting. I don't see CDPR doing the due diligence of balancing the builds ala Diablo 2 for interesting combat. But hey, i'd love to be wrong!

Use case Play with my kid/ family. Last thing i want to do is compete with some person that has 40hours a week to spend on this online and have a bunch of trash talking type stuff. TLDR I play games to get away from the public. NO sacrifice to story.

If they go multi-player, it might be too chaotic, especially for cinematic moments, however, a coop mode with would be fantastic.

I look for the leaks, news, job listings. I give the sources in the video. I do have another one incoming from the Twitter account which they released pipeline & dev updates

What they also need to look at, is what the Moders have done in the past 2-3 years and give us every Option Known to Man! Clothing, self modifications, etc. Also, would there be options to go to Crystal Palace, or out into the badlands? They don't need to make up anything. Everything is already there, numerous gangs, more corporations etc... all they have to do is pick up the pen-and-paper game.

Thanks for digging into everything you can find on Cyberpunk. I can't wait for this! You need def need a better mic through, or at least a pop filter. I hope they do multiple locations, while expanding on Night City and giving us more buildings to enter. Cyberpunk was already amazing (post 2.0 and PL) can't wait to see how they take things to the next level, as they have a strong foundation to build on.

Literally impossible. Slowing down the world for other players would be the only way to simulate it for the user with it enabled, and it would be a horrible experience for everyone involved. Just imagine using it in the typical fashion of quickly toggling on/off to make headshots, and how frustratingly stupid that would be to everyone. Now imaging people spamming it all the time just to mess up timing and smoothness for everyone, on purpose. It would be more preferable to play the game on a potato where it stuttered and stalled every few frames, at least it would be more consistent.

Now imagine taking that experience and implementing it as a purposeful game mechanic...

I was all for a co-op option prior to the release of the original Cyberpunk 2077 game, but after playing the story, I'm worried how a co-op feature would interfere with the development in other areas. I'll be open to it if CDPR can manage to have both players interacting with the story at the same time

Well,I would like to have an NPC interaction when you play co-op before you're friend quit the game and the NPC was like asking you "where is you're friend" but nothing will change like it is just the dialogue

I hope these movie sequences are not just quick time events. I think when It comes to multiplayer, they could do it similar to how Elden ring did it.

I don't know how people generally liked them but I just fkn hated those quick time events in Phantom Liberty. Cutscene movies were more immersive for me. And the whole thing with Chimera was just too much for me. Even though I liked PL as whole at some points it felt like some other game. Like the atmosphere and mood of cyberpunk was replaced with something else. Anyways as I said all in all I liked it a lot.

Concept of multiplayer never even crossed my mind. I think it'd be cool to do like heists with friends like Arasaka Tower (w/o the ending) where there's divergent routes that reward different skills like people who spec into cool for stealth and assassination or for intelligence and tech for mechanical control or some body or reflex for B&E. Don't wanna get my hopes up though so i'll suspend my desires and just be happy with a decent sequel when it comes out.

I think multiplayer would be amazing in the sequel. Being able to do multiple gigs play with friends.

They really need to add body, apartment and car customization. Like at least paint jobs. I love the javelina but the colors could be way better.

It was a selling point for me that i could play Cyberpunk offline, would like it to stay that way. Only thing i been asking for is the optional 3rd person gameplay and possibly mods for consoles. Thats it.

I agree, though the sacrifices also come in where there would very likely be game mechanics changed or simply not implemented because they would not work in multiplayer. For example, if CP2077 was intended to be a multiplayer game from the start, sandevistan would likely have never made it passed the conceptual planning phase, as there is no way to implement that in a sane manner for multiplayer. We wouldn't miss it because we would have never had it, but it illustrates the types of restrictions that come with making a game include multiplayer. No studio is going to invest the time/cost of such a pivotal feature and it would only work in single player mode of their multiplayer game.

I feel like they already have the hardest part from a technical standpoint: The world. P much all the table top stuff takes place in Night City. I can't see them scrapping the work they did so far. Also in the old E3 trailers they said they wanted almost every building was supposed to be enterable. So all they gotta do is give us some of the places they couldn't in 2077, and different story. I fell like at most they give us a few Dogtown sized maps to explore. That said I could be completely off base here. Since they said they were going to stop using Red Engine, and move to UE5. I ounno how much crossover those have. If they have to remake everything from scratch. Then it might be a little much to hope for a way bigger game.

In my opinion i would love to keep V as the main protagonist, as has happened in mass effect and the witcher that we had only one main character, and for new locations i think we should move to Washington to bring some conflict with the NUSA and maybe some fast travel to smaller maps to visit judy in Seattle or panam in Oregon, and the big finale could be in the crystal palace to finally know what happened with that big heist with Mr blue eyes. Well that's what I would love to see.

I hope they don't go after purely superficial elements of the game and make it less buggy and glitchy, Fix the framerates for driving and if they do wanna work on something superficial then please fix character facial emotions

multiplayer MUST be co-op only OR an opt-IN system rather than opt-OUT. I dont want to have to deal with goddamned trolls the way i have in hardcore mmo style games (forced pvp and you lose your shit and progress when you are defeated so people LOVE ruining your day)

3RD Person would be nice so we wouldn't have to use 3RD person mods. At least as an option like how driving a vehicle allows you to drive in 1st or 3rd person depending on the players preference.

Third person isn’t that major for me but I would love to be able to smoke and actually eat food instead of opening menu and also to be able to scroll ur own Bd so you can playback cool battles in Third person and first would be so cool!

Also i like to see eating normally, sleeping as a NORMAL PERSON, flying cars, i want to join a gang... want to raise reputation in said gang.. Maybe gang wars as you saw in Edgerunners, wild shootings etc.. Also full corpo path, different paths

I bought the original cyberpunk and went through all the downloads and patches and things like that not being able to play in third person being stuck in first person mode where you have no sense of a body or form other than you're directing buttons to wield stuff and you can't even see what you doing in a third person view in first person this game totally sucks until they fix this it ain't worth paying the money for

People complaining about multiplayer do not understand, its gonna be a feature so nothing force you to play in multiplayer and second of all people complaining about 3rd person just don't understand its the soul of the game, thats what makes the game unique, its not gta, elder scroll, the Witcher, red dead or whatever, its cyberpunk a new open world 1st person franchise so yeah if youre still complaining about that then you didn't understand 2077. Because the whole point of the story dont make sense in first person, the sensation of your mind slowly slipping away, the immersion when you're walking and discovering the city, you're not playing V, you are V! If you don't understand all of that, my bad but this game isn't for you.

The thing you're completely overlooking is the amount of time & resources it takes to build *and* maintain multiplayer. It can easily take too much away from the main story, to the point where it's dull or nonexistent

Hopefully it'll be both single player and multiplayer player. That way you could choose. For me I really do enjoy single player. Multiplayer isn't my thing at all don't really enjoy it at all. Ya def maybe co op would be ok like the option to have friends join as an edge runner crew to run gigs with you but even that isn’t that necessary I honestly have no problem with single player cyberpunk and would love if they instead focused on more game immersion

They should just work on Witcher 4 and cyberpunk 2 so it can release before 2030 🙂‍↕️

you forgot to mention the most important part of it all. SBI BGG DEI is woke as hell and the game will be a bomb if they are involved

ive said it before and i'll say it again cdpr switching to ue5 is a massive mistake in order to have good mod support with ue5 you need to be really concous about it in all stages of dev, and that can really slow the devs down and limit the scope and the alternative is no/worse mods which is another L, no matter what way you slice it ue5 will destroy either all modding potential or severely limit what cdpr can do in the time they have there is also the topic of ue5 not being a great engine for in depth RPG's with lots of choices. making a cdpr style RPG in ue5 is insane, and will likely not have nowhere near the amount of choice or player narrative impact.

I just want to say Online multiplayer is a bad idea. It invites way to many changes they would have to make to even get sandy cheeks to work in it. Let alone the server issue. I think have an option to play with friends, but not have it be like COD or Fortnite or GTA Online is a great plan. I honestly don’t want to play with random people. It kills the fun when there are trolls

Let's hope for the best, been a long time tw game fan and a recent cyberpunk enjoyer. Knowing cdpr they are most likely going to mess up again but I am sure they are going to redeem themselves as time goes. I however agree, multiplayer does not sound good in a singleplayer storybased game. Let's just hope they don't pour hasty decisions when it comes to multiplayer (i.e loot boxes, half of the content being online, etc). One good thing though is them switching engine, their own engine really held them back. Just imagine the visuals on the sequel with UE5! But it also means that problems with UE5 will carry to their game lol.
