Kuze, from Season 2 of Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig. Might have been a better point of reference to use. He had the most high-performing prosthetic body, Section 9 had ever encountered! I'll never forget how impressed with it, Batou was. And how handsome the Major, thought Kuze looked.😉

Though cyberzombies do exist (basically a full borg), but they are hard as fuck to make and have high upkeep. Though to be fair, a several ton Giant with chainsaws for hands, and has rocket propulsion or a 40 pound 7.62 nato Minigun and Super heavy axe which makes anything less than a Mecha or Spirit cut down like if the victims are grass and the cyberzombie is a industrial lawnmower is generally worth it no matter the conditions.

@@baker90338 In Shadowrun they are basically corpses animated with cybernetics. Because nobody survives full conversion. In that game you also get massive penalties to magic, and chi unarmed attacks the more cyberware you install. So you can't multiclass the two significantly for unstoppable combinations like in D&D, where min/maxers exploit the multiclass system.

Sorry, but Humanity isn't a thing in Cyberpunk 2077.

It is extremly unlikely that the player can undergo full replacement, unless it is one of the types that can pass as humans. The obvious borgs tend to stick out too much and need too much support structure. I know it is not called Shadowrun, but how this will operate is propably close to Shadowrunning. Being able to keep a low profile will propably be important.

I'm just hoping CDPR includes the color changing hair. That way I can make an 'Ultra-V*' character. After that all extras are just a bonus. *Ultra-V referencing 'Ultraviolet' for those that have no idea of what I'm talking about.

@@acewolfgang276, That's the least of the problems that this F.U.B.A.R. program has. The upcoming "major patch" still don't add what Saints Row was doing 10+ years ago. All it adds is cops that teleport in 'farther away from you'. This "game" was 'next gen' 30 years ago, but not today, not now.

I'm thinking we might encounter a gemini type as a companion and possible partner. Just so we can hit that Wasp Hive with a nuke powered Bat.

Another thing I wonder about when I watched the gameplay demo... Will we be able to drive those crappy hatchback cars? I wanna drive the crappy hatchback cars.. There is a fight somewhere and a hatchback pulls over and a huge borg steps out. Yeah!

Probably a "end game" path or boss battle?

Honestly I would really like to see everything from the cyberpunk books( well maybe not everything) be implemented into the game like full body conversations. Cause the way how they all look is litt and I want to make borgs from my favorite shows or anime

Full body conversations 😂, sounds like the Cyberpunk version of a sex scene like in The Witcher series

This is probably the major part of CP2077 players not familiar with Cyberpunk 2013/2020 aren't going to 'grok'. Players are going to expect to be (or become) a Terminator, ain't gonna happen..

Hearing about this it sounds like if it's possible in Cyberpunk 2077 it would be if we are on very good terms with a Corp like we see in the demo and it would be at the end of a major side quest for them or available for purchase but is extremely and ridiculously expensive but I still think they will try to implement this if they could either on release or in one of the expansions that they plan to release for Cyberpunk 2077

Now years later, in the game you can be chromed up, not full borg but very close.

so in my head cannon V/Valarie is a full borg. 100% machine with the consciousness of a human. (also i chose corpo life path so itll make sense) so V grew up in japan in a slum, she was abducted by arasaka along with the kids that where taken when lucy got abducted. the kids where separated, kids that will go into arasaka black ops and those that will be dwellers and live in the net. the kids that where to become arasaka netrunners all died when they rebelled all except for lucy, while the kids put into the black ops program lived. she was 6 when abducted, and when she was 14 her combat and net running training where complete. The final test they gathered all the trainees and pit them in a combat test where 4 groups have to grab a target and get to a drop point and the teams can also eliminate each other, unknown to the kids they where using live rounds. Valarie's team completed and passed the test, Valarie passed with flying colors and the rest of her team was sent off to a black ops squad while V since she had the best scores out of the trainee's was taken to arasaka hq in tokyoto be soul killed and turned into the perfect engram to mold and brainwash, the perfect weapon. at this point adam smasher was under the command of yorinobu, so saburo needed a backup borg that can do the dirty work. so V was seated in front of none other than saburo arasaka and he gave her some words of wisdom and put up a front to ease the child. Inside mikoshi. Valarie was lead to mikoshi and jacked in, and stored inside mikoshi for 6 months. within that time the arasaka corporation sent a ripper doc based in night city a contract that he couldn't refuse, a ripper by the name of vicktor vector, the contract stated that vic would construct a fully borg body outfitted with specific inhouse model cyberware and cyberweapons manufactured by arasaka. in return vic would be handsomely paid and his clinic would be renovated and supplied with the latest cutting edge cyberware. The birth of V. After Valarie's engram was placed in this new body she was immediately taken to a training facility to learn how to use her new body to perfection, as for cyberware here's the list, Arasaka mk.5 cyberdeck, subdermal armor, optical camo, fire proof coating, dual mantis blades one is a standard issue arasaka mantis blade, the other is a prototype in house model that uses red hardlight, and a in house model heavy duty sandevistan that slows time to 1% for 35 seconds and is designed for back to back use with no cool down due to a borg body, if a normal meat body where to use this their body would fail and or cyberware would burn out. after completing training she was placed in arasaka spec ops apart of a 1 person hit squad, any use of her in the field had to be authorized by saburo, hanako, or michiko. any conflict V took place in where conflicts that officially didnt exist no witnesses left behind to tell the tale, just rumors in arasaka spec ops and black ops that the company has a new grim reaper, some say that there is no new reaper than smasher is back, but no one knows for sure, anytime V entered combat it would be over in the matter of a second due to the sandy only thing that could be made out is a black and red blur before blood splatters everywhere and bodies hit the ground. after years take place and multiple shadow wars go on saburo's plan to take yorinobus body is coming into effect. so arasaka corporation offers V a choice. Stay in the company but transfer to a different branch and blend back into society while remaining an asset to arasaka, or be deactivated. So V transferred to counter intel, at the same time any record of her being in spec ops was covered in black ink, another detail about her file that was covered in black ink was she is classified as hyper lethal, same as smasher. then inevitably fired by abernathy. her non vital cyberware was shutdown for a bit but since vic built her he got her back to being fully operational. technically even after termination she remains a arasaka asset but she grows to hate the corp and sides with johnny. Also side note, cause vic signed a contract to build the body only he has the authorization to work on the body and install cyberware/ alter the rig in anyway. if some other ripper or scavs where to access the rig an arasaka hit squad would drop in on the location kill everyone in a certain radius and retrieve their asset.

In the RPG game of cyberpunk there is a high chance of cyber psychosis the less "human" you are. If you went full conversion, there might be a chance you lose control of your character and go on an uncontrollable rampage.

I have no problems with losing humanity, won't be needing it

Might have lost mine a long time ago...

My V will not go "full borg". Not in my first playthrough anyway. I will have him search out microchip cybernetics which enhance his reflexes and melee-weapon skills. Why would he need full body armor if no bullet can touch him? He'll be deflecting and dodging any bullets that come his way. He will certainly try his best to emulate Raiden's fighting style, but he will not undergo the nearly full body conversion that Raiden went through (Raiden is a cyberninja who only retains his spine and head, minus eyes and jaw; his eyes, jaw, and body from the neck-down are all artificial).

Advice, if you want to be a nightmare, also get armor. Look at warhammer 40k’s Space Marines for a example of why, because it would be an absolute nightmare to see a full sized man running at you at insane speeds and shrugging off bullets like (as kaz said in the video) rain. Also look up the video series called “Astartes” for footage.

I don't see full conversion being an option in the base game, though I'm sure there will be some npc full borgs. If it is an option it would probably be the... Alpha chassis I think it called? Been awhile, but the "concealed" full conversion from chrome book 2. Edit: yup, you just said the alpha class. Guess I should waited to comment...

We could have a blade runner style event were V is a Gemini class borg without realizing it as his memories were wiped or made up could explain how Johnny silverhand might be able to control V

With recent info coming out we might not be able to go full Borg. But we can heavily modify ourselves not to the extent of a full body conversion though.

I wonder if we become a borg, we can get unique dialogue with Adam smasher or better yet new dialogue with everyone?

I think we might come across a few Alphas, Eclipses and Gemini in the game without knowing it, since those are especially made for infiltration and blending. And we might come across the military type as well as a Boss or a bodyguard of one of the corporations.

Straight up I'd happily get chromed without hesitation provided development has been well long enough. Just the smaller feats of becoming unable to catch flame, conduct electricity, zoom your vision in... Paramount, godlike. Anything on the levels of Sandevistan or projectile launch systems, quick hacks.... Yes, make me living embodiment of defeating nature's flaws.

I can't wait! It's about time that someone is going to release a "Shadowrun" / "Necron 2" ,cyber punk, awesome first person shooter (FPS).

It isn't necessarily needed though. Cybernetics are a thing but for transhumanism, the current state of science makes biotechs (and genic therapy) more likely than cybernetics.

I hope you’re able to make your character built like the animals from the gameplay trailer through cyber ware upgrades then cover them in advanced cyber armor that’s fused into you kinda make an off brand cyberpunk version of Frank Horrigan from fallout 2

You could make for an interesting construct

I don't think it be possible but I wish when Cyberpunk 2077 comes that I can do a no Cybernetics run. Where the only way to get a HUD is a helmet or glasses and you need an Exo-Skeleton to have super strength and hacking is harder since you cant go into the computer and instead must use a seperate hacking device.

@@Kazuliski Since Dragoons always came with the behaviour inhibitor chip it would cool to have a "mission" which is more like a cutscene where you can't really control what your character is doing if you agree to the mission.

When your companion stores the spider-mech in the cars storage. Do you think that car storage is something we can use in game or is it just a quest line action?

Difficult to say. You might be able to store something in the car... but if it were me... I would have a sub quest where someone steals the car and your gear if you keep too many high value items within it...

Playthrough as a Corpo Unstoppable killing machine

How is it that there is a humanity loss when it comes to augments and cyberware? Is it like the person who is getting these augments slowly loses interest in the traditional human? I mean when it comes to that wouldn't a brain dance + reality therapy help? I don't know much of the reasoning (besides acting as negative for a plus) in the tabletop version if there is one explained in the lore, and you'd think with it being 2077 there'd be more willingness toward mental realignment. I can't wait to see more of the lore fleshed out in the coming months until the game comes out. Great video btw!

i would love a side quest chain in the game where you have to track down and stop a gemini FBC serial killer cyberpsycho and just leave the reveal that the cyberpsycho is a fbc till the end

They added a chainswords good beginning. Now I would like a tactical dreadnought armor in the game.

Very informative video, this reminds me of Deus Ex invisible war, there is a borg hive mind group called the Omar with high resistances and can evolve rapidly, I hope CDPR gives us a chance to become one.

How come Gemini's can't have genitalia? Weird question, I know. It's just that it makes a lot of sense why the others can't have genitals. But, from the way you described Gemini's it seems like it's totally possible that they can have genitalia.

The TX is the best equivalent to the Gemini or Major Kusanagi she is literally a Gemini from another universe

Yeah I'd rather not become a borg of any kind I'll just stick with certain cyberwear bioware or implants like I would love to have rippers boosted relaxes maybe sharkgrin and perhaps whatever cyberoptics but only if my vision becomes worse

Ever since i watched ghost in the shell,and subsequently ghost in the shell stand alone complex,this whole concept has occupied a large portion of my philosophical foundation. It drives one to finish jean paul sarter's being and nothingness(albeit you'll likely read in 20 times before you even understand a modicum of it)
