Here is a breakdown of my costs to rebuild this watch:
Watch was won for £143.21 inc delivery on eBay.
Here is where I bought the new gaskets for this watch:
COST: £12.95
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CWC-G10-Se...
And this one is separate for the crown gasket:
COST: £5.95
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-crown-...
Movement, ETA 955.114 / 955.112 (correct movement for this watch):
COST: £29.95
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293051217304
CWC Strap: (Grey 19mm)
COST: £10.99 (plus delivery)
Matte black paint: (for the dial)
COST: £6.29
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...
TOTAL COST EXCLUDING TOOL COSTS:
£209.34
Estimated value of the watch as of 11/04/2022: circa £300 (based on examples I have seen sell)
Although you can buy new versions of this watch, they don't have the military issue provenance that this watch does. This is what adds value and character. Early "fatboys" sell for £500-£600 depending on condition, serial numbers etc. Value is down to many factors.

Nice one Dan ! I lost mine when I smashed it in the back of a Commando Seaking in Norway in 1988, what a loss , but replaced by a Seiko chronograph so a win really😁 And much to my chagrin I did a similar repair and made four broken Russian watches into three working ones. Great self financing fun😂
