I'm Tom Luque, a field service rep. Number one problem! You can not evaluate the temperature inside of an empty oven. There has to be something inside to simulate a mass being cooked and holding heat. Place bricks or cast iron skillets inside as a simulation for food. Once you know your offset difference of digital setting and thermometers you can enter the offset into the stove's electronic memory of the control board. Your user manual will have the steps for setting a plus or negative offset.

When baking cakes, I press "bake" not "bake/convection" which automatically indicates the oven will heat to 350° F. The bell indicator is supposed to go off when the oven is at 350°. But it goes off at 200° or sometimes 250°. If I have two or three cakes in the oven simultaneously and I open the oven door to test for doneness, the oven temperature will drop to 250°. It never goes back up to 350°. They take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes longer to bake than what the recipe calls for. And even though a toothpick comes out clean, the cakes are not fully cooked and the outsides are overdone. As a woman who's always been able to bake a perfect cake, I've thrown 11 cakes away over the past 3 days specifically for not being fully baked yet overdone on the outside. Do you have any suggestions at all?

To add temperature, if the oven runs too cold, the sequence is Bake+zero button simultaneously, then bake button again, then add temp correction using number buttons (Up to +30°F is max allowable correction), then start button to end the sequence. Listen for the double beep and confirms you're done. Was wondering why the bread was taking up to 20 extra mins to cook :) You're welcome.

I just had my stove replaced and got a sumsung. I made my favourite cookies today and it was chaos. At 350, I had the impression nothing was happening. I kept changing the tempreture until I finally managed to bake them somewhat ok at 375. I started regretting my old oven. Thank you for sharing your experience. Now I need to buy that thermo.

We had a technician come in yesterday to adjust the flames on our Samsung. I told him that my oven was taking longer to bake. He said to get thermometer and place in center of oven and set it for 350 and let it in there for about an hour. He said to put it in there like you did with nothing else in there. After that time passes check it and then use the manual to adjust it just like you did. Thanks for the video. Good to see how someone actually does it. P. S. I really wish I had my G E Profile back. Never had to do stuff like this.

We just bought the same oven. Ours has the same problem but in the opposite direction. At a 400 degree setting the oven would 'Beep' ready at 350 and then slowly climb to 375. It then cycled between about 360 and 375 but never went over it. And this was brand new out of the box.

We have what looks like your exact over. I was investigating how to replace the temperature sensor since the bake temperature is low by about 25 degree and found this video. Dug out the manual and followed the instructions. It was very easy to do. The replacement sensor is about $40 and may not have made the temperature any more accurate and probably would need to be calibrated too. THANKS!

Good demo, but you should show a re-test to see if the actual temp (in oven thermometer) matches the display temp. Also, most Samsung ovens can only be adjusted up or down 30 deg. If your temp is off more than that it will cost about $400 to get the parts replaced. We will be getting rid of our 2 1/2 year old Samsung because the oven temp is completely unreliable. It runs >50 deg. hot.

I've had the very same problem with my new Samsung oven since I purchased it and have been very frustrated. I received no manual with it. Though what worked for your oven didn't work for mine, I did call the customer service number and they set mine for me by phone. They can do it by remote assist (with them doing it through your phone camera screen) or they can do it by leading you step by step in doing it yourself. They also gave me step by step instructions to write down should I need to change the settings further. Nice! Don't know that I would have ever even called them if not for your great video. Thanks so much.

Does calibration adjust the number display or the oven temperature? In other words, if the oven is actually 20 degrees hotter than what the display shows, by recalibrating would I be adding 20 degrees to the display to make it match the actual oven temperature...or would I subtract 20 degrees to bring the heat down to match the display?

My husband bought me a new oven. It's as an electric Samsung dual convention w/ warming drawer. Looks lot like yours. Except it's electric and has dual oven doors. Not even sure how to turn of the convection and have never used the main part of the oven. Have only used the small top oven where the convection fan is. Am about to pull my dang on hair out. Everything is over cooking. Think I need a lesson on how to use this thing. Hopefully after watching this video I will understand my oven a little better. Would love to learn to use the dehydrating feature. Had others just cannot remember off top of my head. Thanks for sharing. Hey I just got an electric Samsung Air fryer oven. Sounded good at the time…. I had to make cakes for people. I couldn’t wait to use it! First the Pepe who delivered charged for installation( plugged it in) they didn’t make it level. I had to level it. Took awhile. I made a pineapple upside down cake; it normally takes and hour. I and had 23 minutes of time left and the cake was brown and the edges were getting dARK! Opened it and the cake was nowhere near done. I draped foil over the top to hopefully keep it from browning. Anyways cake was ruined. Wayyyy to Brown / dark! In addition came out 10 minutes early. I agree should not have to switch pans and adjust time baking. I have 60 days to return. I will adjust temp. Already own a temperature gauge and will try that first. I don’t know why the fan comes n when I using bake? I’m not using the air fryer selection,0r convection so it shouldn’t come on.
