Cuz the snuff can call is my go to for sure' most realistic ever to me. i build mine with metal wrapped around a certain size socket and pop rivets. that metal and the perfect size is key as you probably know!!

I been practicing for about three months ,im just now feeling like i could use one in the woods.Thanks for the tips Cuz.

Really made me miss having a tube in my vest! Underestimated call on it's effectiveness for sure! That three note cutt will definitely shock a gobble out of them near and far! I used it several times if a bird quit gobbling but was close. And didn't respond to crow, woodpecker, or hawk. Good memories!

Hey Cuz, After listening to your Podcast for several months and listening to you talk about your tube call I finally pulled the trigger and bought me one. Have made one out of pull bottle but hard to get tension right. Thinking about getting a primos tube to be more consistent. Good luck this spring Cuz!

Try using scotch tape to hold the latex on both sides of the bottle and another piece of tape to hold the back part of the latex. That way you can get it as tight as you want it side to side and front to back. You don`t have to have a cut out top on it. I`ve made a bunch of them like that and they sound just as good as any store bought tube type call. I`ve never had a problem with the tape coming loose either. I`ve been making them for close to thirty years out of a pill bottle. The first one I made was out of a snuff can. Got the idea from an article David Hale was talking about them in. After I first made it I couldn`t make a sound with it. After about an hour of trying I gave up then a few minutes later I decided to try doing it with my bottom lip on the latex instead of my top lip on it lol. After that I took to it like a duck on water. I`ll be straight up with you. I think they sound great but I`ve only called in one turkey with them but I`ve heard other guys say they`ve called in a lot with them. I can make a sound on one for using it as a early morning roost shock gobble call that if I blow it 3 times and don`t hear a turkey gobble I`m ready to go somewhere else Cuz (a little pun :-) ) there aint no turkeys there. Would be rich right now if I could have hooked up with a call maker years ago and started selling them as a locator call. Works good enough to come with a guarantee on it. Could you imagine how many sells a locator call would make if it had a guarantee with it? Yeah, it`s that good.

I won’t leave the house without my wingbone or my Morgan Tube Caller.

Where do you get the Primos tube call?? I can't find it anywhere. I found a Knight and Hale and I LOVE it. I would just like to find line with the "cap reed"

Cuz! liked and subscribed. I loved the comment on the dying art of setups. I remember the days I couldn't wait to get the Primos and Quaker Boy VHS, two hours of video to kill two or three birds. It was a teaching experience. Could you give us a tip on how to locate high pressured birds on public land? Military family and this is my first year hunting Mississippi. I emailed the turkey biologist, he said anywhere is good in the National Forest..... LOL I spent three days only saw hens by themselves.... No sign of scat or gobbler tracks...... I sure could use the advise from you, legendary....

Get you a primos tube call it has a fitted reed and will make the process way easier
